Hello new here of course. I'm a ex honda tech/parts pro. After having a 00 Civic Si show car, I got into detailing. The joy of seeing your work after you spent all day/week on is amazing. Looking to learn as much as I can, to perfect my skill. I consider myself a beginner so accuse my stupid questions if I ask them. When I did detail I used a Dewalt, but these others on the market makes me think. I like that Cyclo, the two heads looks like it would work great. The porter cable is nice. I mostly do daily drivers, but want to improve to paint correction so I can get bigger clients. Small steps.....
Thank you
Mike

There's the satisfaction in seeing the results and the satisfaction of doing it yourself and best of all the satisfaction of knowing the job was done right the first time.

We all started out in the same place and that's knowing nothing... then after learning from others pay it back and pay it forward by passing on what we've learned to others and hopefully the cycle repeats.

There's always the "right" tool for the job... it's nice to have one or two different styles as this enables you do do more machine related tasks.

A rotary buffer and DA Polisher like the Porter Cable 7424XP is pretty good Tag Team that will tackle just about anything you ever come up against.

Thank you, I would love to get to your level. First thing trying to find what the best product everyone is using, second thinking if I should get a Dewalt, and a Cyclo or a Porter Cable. So much to research, and learn.

Welcome! Good luck in your efforts to become a great detailer!

I myself, LOVE the Makita when it comes to a rotary. The Dewault I never cared for because I feel it just packs too much power, it's heavier, and it instantly spins at top speed. The Makita is a little more user friendly in my opinion. :xyxthumbs:

I recently just purchased a Porter Cable orbital cause I feel it has the longest upstanding history. Plus, lots of people rely on it...that made me comfortable. If you're going to improve and get into paint correction...just get a rotary and an orbital of your choosing. Then, your ready for battle. Once you find what products you like of course, ha.
