I am a 53 year old car nut who is new to formal auto detailing. Sure I have done the usual wash, wax, tire dressing thing but, I would really like to learn how to properly detail my cars.
I currently own a 2002 Corvette Z06 and a 1969 Corvette couple. Both cars could use a professional detail; in fact, I would think the '69 Corvette could stand a bit of paint correction (the car is black).
Thinking I could teach myself by watching a few youtube videos (that was my first mistake) I purchased a Flex polisher and some Adam's products.

The car did not come out as I had hoped and I had no idea that detailing a car with a polisher was so much work.

I have a TON to learn and have many questions so I hope this is a patient group.

Welcome! Yes, you can learn quite a bit on here! I think many people would be and are surprised at how much work it takes to do a proper 'detail'.

Welcome aboard. You can learn very quickly hanging around here and will find your machine skills improve. Compare trying to correct that black paint by hand vs. a machine! You'll love that machine once you dial in your products and technique.
