Hello my old friend! My 2000 SS Camaro returns home. Long read

Thanks guys!

First stage completed today. Spent about 6-7 hours getting the engine bay back up to snuff. Degreased, steamed and coated the engine bay, windshield cowl, underside of the hood with IGL Eclipse high temp industrial coating. Also installed some new stainless hardware and new headlight housings.

VERY nice! It's really coming along!!! Looking really good!!!!! Tails came out better than new!! And that paint...

What a great story! Congratulations on getting it back. You've done a lot to it already to bring it back and it's looking great.

Sadly, I've been really thinking about listing my Z for sale.

Awesome work and that picture on the hood is beutieful!

Thanks gents!

Made some more headway tonight. Got both quarters sanded and polished out.

Also removed the wing and sanded and polished the deck lid along with the wing.

Been putting in more hours between work and this project.

Got all the wheel wells, suspension and rear end cleaned up, a little re-paint and sprayed with IGL Eclipse high temperature industrial coating.

Also had my son helping me install a new BMR double adjustable panhard bar.

Awesome to see your boy spending time with you and at the same time learning and doing a little work. And you can see how he likes doing it!

Absolutely! He had a choice to go to Walmart with my wife and his brother or stay and help me. I told him if he stays I'm putting him to work and he had a huge smile and got all excited. Then when I put the swirl killer mini in his hands he loved it. I let him try out the Rupes 21 Mark ll a d he did pretty well with it. Bit heavy for him.

Here's a video I put together
