A suitable brush stiff enough to dislodge the embedded particles.

I thought Meg's WB is not good on clear coated polished aluminum (e.g. BMW 3 series wheels)?

BMW 5 series Cleaning Wheels Tires and Wheel Wells.
2. Meguiars Wheel Brightener for rim and Meguiars Super Degreaser (4:1 solution) for tires.
.

Are u sure Meg's Wheel Brightener is safe on these wheels? I reall reading somewhere it shoudl be avoided on clear coated polished aluminum.

These wheels on the 5 series are painted and clear coated, not polished aluminum.

The 3 series has so many different types of wheels you need to specify which you are talking about. This products is not safe for: Do not use on polished aluminum or anodized wheels.

Ah. Gotcha. I plan to get a bottle of Brown Royal, mix it 4:1 and go to town on my wheels, which on my 3 series I am pretty sure are clearcoated aluminum (no paint). Just got to finish up my bottle of Hot Rims first.

which style wheels do you have because almost all of them are clearcoated, which makes the use of Megs WB OK. The ones you have to be careful on are these:

You can use Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner.

It's very expensive for what it is. Sure it works well but it's cost prohibitive especially against the MWB. If you're worried about brushed aluminum, OPC is still vastly cheaper and it doesn't smell like a toxic waste dump.

:xyxthumbs: I'll take a pic of my wheel tomorrow & post-up.

I've got these:View attachment 10331

Probably not polished aluminum nor anodized wheels (not that I know how to tell - honestly). What do you think? WB safe?
(The pic was taken with my cell - not the best quality - I know)

What country are you in? They don't sell the 325xi in the USA. Those wheels are painted and clear coated, they are not polished aluminum. They are BMW Style 285. MWB is totally fine for these wheels.
