help me keep her pretty

I'd suggest one of the Pinnacle or Wolfgang kits with shampoo, waxes, and sealant...and plenty of microfiber towels.

So is that wolfgang fuzion wax worth the extra coins? Do you still use the wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant with that wax?

I like it, along with supernatural. Fuzion is a little more easier to apply than supernatural. Good thing is that you can buy a sample size of each to decide for yourself. Remember, you get a refill for free with the fuzion.

SSII is not $29. Did you mislabel the DP and SSII? You should compare the full size fuzion w/refill instead of the sample size. The big one w/refill comes out to be $10.94 per oz(2x8oz for $175).

Thanks! I copy pasted from my list and looks like I screwed up. Was in a big hurry and didn't ahve time to check it. That's why the disclaimer that I hoped everything got on their correctly... Thanks for catching that.

Optimum Car Wash 32 oz.

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0

Pinnacle Liquid Souveran™ Car Wax

I would recommend a cleaner type product in addition to clay bar. Keep in mind, no car is perfect, even from a factory, it has 800+ miles on it, and ultimately, you do NOT want to seal in any bonded contaminates.

So unless you're going to do at least a fine polish/buff step, I recommend a product that has cleaning abilities, to remove bonded contaminates so it doesn't get sealed into the paint.

Klasse AIO is a one step product that is both a cleaner, and a sealant in one.

Good Luck
Tony

Here are the products I bought today. It seems really overkill, but it also seems like ALOT of fun. Now I have a couple days to learn how to use this stuff. Any hints on how to and what order to use these products will be greatly appreciated

Everything seems to be in order :xyxthumbs:

The Wolfgang Paintwork Polish Enhancer seems like a very good entry level polish. It's a very gentle polish/cleaner type product that has tons of polishing oils that would hide small imperfections if any existed.

Thats why some of the pros will use more aggressive polishing/buffing methods to remove the defects instead of trying to hide them.

Wolfgang Paintwork Polish Enhancer is a great product, and is perfect for this car because it is such a mild formula, and that your car is new, so no need for anything aggressive.

I've never tried the Wolfgang polish, but I've tried Pinnacle XMT, and it seems to do what it is intended to do. Pinnacle & Wolfgang are the same owners.

I would do all of this . The last one , wax is optional.
A very important part of detailing is the quality of your MF towels ( micro fiber) .Cobra is a good brand . Get plenty

With all these layers I am putting on the car I wonder if a buffer should also be on my list.
Looks like a full week of rain is in our weather outlook. That will give me a few more days of learning before I actually do this. My wife is worried I will somehow damage the car with all these products I am putting on the car! So am I to tell you the truth.

Nah no need to worry. Take your time and listen to what everyone has said and you have nothing to worry about. If you use a buffer I would get a DA and if it is just for your car then get the PCXP or griots, you cant go wrong with those. A DA is very safe and you dont really have to worry about hurting the paint. Just be careful and take your time. A little more skill comes into play with a buffer but nothing you cant handle.

Wash- Meguiars Gold Class(OTC), Duragloss, Optimum, Poorboys
Clay- DP universal clay, Wolgang clay, Meguiars clay(OTC)
Polish- Flex 3401 DA buffer with a compound or finishing polish. Product depends how bad the imperfections are.
Wax or sealant of your choice

We are having the most rain here in san diego since 1995! I may have to postpone the good times I was planning this weekend. I might just get that buffer after all.

Sorry what is a DA?

DA= Dual Action,or sometimes just referred to as an orbital. I have the Griots and since it's just for my personal vehicles it works great. No risk of burning paint.

...How many cylinders does this bad boy have? Is it supercharged, or turbocharged? How fast does the mofo go?

If it is stock, it has 12 cylinders and is normally aspirated. Given it is a convertible, it should be governed at 165 mph. The coupe is something like 186 mph. Aston Martin slowed the convertible down for fear of shredding the rag top at top speed.

I just watched a re-run of Top Gear where they featured this car. Beautiful vehicle.
