Help Me Pick My Next Car....

Good thought, but no offense, I find those things FUGLY. Good HP and AWD tho..

Well, I must admit, they're not the coolest looking cars on the road. I would have suggested the regular Accord, but he said he wanted AWD, which is why I mentioned the Crosstour. The Crosstour does have some cool features though.

Between the two, go with the S4. That L.E.D. strip on the headlights is stunning to look at, a nice touch of class.

I have a feeling I'm going to go back and forth driving the two until I make up my mind. 12 grand isn't a small amount, but this is where I will be spending a lot of my time in. I put on 25k miles this year and I don't see it getting any better.

If you want fun to drive you need a Sky

I've got the spyder for my topless fun :) Thought about the sky, but golf clubs with the top down was a priority. I can get two sets in the spyder.

Definetly the way to go:dblthumb2:

Can't argue with that. Certainly not much space for golf clubs in the Sky

I hear what you're saying. When I was in your shoes it came down to the BMW 335xi and the G35x. Truth be told, I really liked the 335xi better. The interior material quality was nicer and the suspension setup was more sports car like. However the G had more gadgets in it, had a bigger back seat, didn't have that AWFUL i-drive controller thing, and it was $12,000 less. When it came down to it I just didn't feel the cars had enough differences to justify a $12K price difference. So, I went with the cheaper one.

Audi has really improved the quality and reliability in the last few years. 16.2k and 1 year later no problems to report in my S5...and the car is driven hard. The G37 is a nice car, but far too common. The S4 will fill all your needs and more. Haven't got the chance to drive one, but spoke to a few happy owners and my girlfriend is picking one up in August (member- S4Babe). Be careful though, the Audi may take the spot as Garage Queen once you feel that Supercharged V6 that is underrated at 330 hp. Good luck with your choice!

The S4 has bumped up in the rankings overnight after doing more research. It was coming down to S4 vs 335xi. Both specked out within a few hundred dollars. Great online video of the two head to head, with the S4 winning. Top Gear even had the S4 taking down an M3 on a course.

Have you looks at the new STI has decent amount of room and AWD
The S60 is nice as well
What about a 335XI

If I were you i would go with the S4 AWD

Its between the 335xi and S4. Didn't even think about Volvo, but will have to give it a look now.

Funny part of this post as I read all of the replies. Not one person commented on which paint would be the easiest to care for or most fun to work on. :buffing:

Audi's have a real hard clear coat, but then again so does my girlfriends 5 series....just get the new S4...you won't regret it...trust me.....do...it

Driven them both? If not, do so and see which one stirs your senses more. Honestly they are both fantastic cars and nit-picking between the two is just stupid. The true test is when you drive it, do you love the experience? Do you look forward to the experience? Simply put, which one stirs your emotions the most. That is the car you want to pick.

I think you can tell I am a BMW guy from saying that, but I swear to you it is the absolute truth. Even if it is a G37, Audi, or hell even a Honda, pick which one you love! The rest will fall into place. Oh and FYI, you can get a 3 series without iDrive. Personally, I prefer it without, however if you must have nav, the latest iDrive is WORLDS better than the previous generation and a breeze to use.

I plan to drive the BMW this week. I've got to wait a bit for the S4 since the closest ones are over an hour away. Trying to coordinate with a business trip so I can drive it. We will see which one turns me on the most!

:iagree:I'm not objective, so take this for what it's worth. I've driven an Audi for the last 6 years; first an A4, now an A5. The only other cars I'd trade my A5 for is the S5 (yes, Jon, I'm jealous!) or an R8 (but, that's such a dream that I can forget practicality). Does it have quirks? Yes. But, every other car I've ever owned has. I love the styling, interior, and everything else that makes it uniquely Audi so much that I'll continue to buy them until the gas pedal sticks and plows me into a tree. But, keep test driving until you find the one you love. That's how I ended up with my A4 all those miles ago.

S5 is my dream car. said it time and time again. I'd take an S4 too. There's something about Audi that I like over a BMW. Exterior and Interior is hands down better in an Audi. BMW might have slightly better steering, and it edges Audi in performance in many apsects. However, the Audi offers enough performance that I would sacrifice a few HP or whatever else for the overall experience of the audi. The interiors are near perfect and that adds big points in my book.

Thanks for all the input!! Here's what I'm going to order:
S4 Prestige Package - s tronic 7spd
Deep Sea Blue Color
Interior - I'm torn. I've never had a car with Alcantara inserts and I'm wondering if I should upgrade to all leather or stick with the stock
Sports Rear Diff Package
Driver Assist Package

Should get it early summer, I will post picks after her first bath (don't worry, dealer and I already spoke that they aren't to touch the car when it comes off the truck)
