So my friend and I will hopefully be taking on a detail here in the near future. The vehicle in question is an F-250 Quad Cab Long bed, lifted, King Ranch edition, and yeah, it's black. Not sure what year it is. Also, it is not a dually. My plan is hopefully to do wash, clay, Optimum Poli-Seal, and then full interior. Supposedly the fellow who owns this truck keeps it in pretty good shape, but we'll see. I am able to run both of us on polishers (I have the G110v2, the Griot's 6", and the Flex 3401) and enough LC white CCS polishing pads for both of us, so that's not an issue. I was thinking $200 - $250, split between the two of us. Thoughts? Too high, too low?

Also, any special treatment for King Ranch leather? I have DP Interior Cleaner and Protectant, Pinnacle Leather and Vinyl Cleaner, Optimum Protectant Plus (sample), Wolfgang Leather Conditioner (sample), Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer, and Meguiar's APC and APC+ at 10:1 and 4:1 dilutions. Thanks!
 
I think charging anywhere from 225-250 is fair. With two guys you should be able to finish this within 3 hours.

Sorry don't have much experience with King Ranch leather but I remember I reading about them giving him trouble. I think that person used APC and thought he ruined the seats, but when they dried it looked normal.
 
Price should be a combination of how long the job will take you (price per hour) and what the market will bare. Also how much $$$ do you want in your pocket after you pay your expenses?

I have ordered the special King Ranch leather treatment straight from the KR web site.
 
Spray lexol into your palm and massage into the seats. They'll be kinda sticky for a few days, but nothing to worry about

$250 sounds fair to me

Wow, 3 hours...really? That seems pretty quick for a wash/clay/single pass and a full interior...actually i dont see how thats even possible unless the poli-seal is applied like a wax and you just spread it? I would think you'd have to actually work it in though since it offers correction..maybe someone can chime in on that.

To the OP, what will your full interior include? I see you're doing seats and im sure all vinyl etc...are you including shampooing (extracting)?

If you are id say that 225-250 is surely fair. I usually use D151 for a single pass as it gives pretty good correction, but then i apply a sealant over that (even though it finishes down as a wax) just for extra protection. I usually charge $250 for a car to do that and a full interior...but took us a little time to get up to that point. It usually takes us 6 hours to do a car though. Even though its 'just' a single pass we still like to really make sure all the bases are covered and no corners cut. Now if Poli-Seal applies like a wax and you just spread it real fast like you would a wax or sealant, then that should really cut back on your time by 2 hours or so. Nice thing about those big trucks...BIG PANELS! Not so many curves and tights spots to work with.
 
You have to remember he is doing this with another guy. So effectively that is 6 man hours.
 
250 and maybe 15 dollars for cost of materials at most. That about 39 dollars an hour.118 for 3 hour of work is good in my book. :)

I do it with my sister so same thing...two people working on it. I guess my flaw is even on single passes i really try to give the absolute best possible out come. I dont do 'quickie' passes and say "hey its a single pass i never said it would be perfect" ...even with a single pass i aim for 70% minimum...usually get higher especially now with the D300 set up...one step and then seal and you get great results...like this one...i know i over did it a little on the paint but the lady was almost in tears when she got it back: 23 YEAR OLD swirls on top of swirls - 88' Red Honda Civic pix/vids - Auto Geek Online Auto Detailing Forum
 
$250.00 sounds correct. Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil & Prestine Clean worked great for me on the King Ranch leather seats.

In one of the King Ranch threads mentioned in earlier post, it was mentioned that Duragloss makes the products that Ford sells for King Ranch leather. I stopped by Federated Auto Parts and picked up Duragloss #221 and #441. Will these be effective yet safe? I'm willing to order Leatherique if need be, I just really don't want to spend the $60 for that if I don't absolutely have to. Plus wouldn't that be an extra cost to the customer?

Passing along a 25% increase in price for 1 product will probally piss off your customer. I wouldn't do it

IDK never used it. More then likely it will though (I guess)

I work on several King Ranch edition vehicles and have found the best product for me is called Leather New. It is avalible @ Tractor Supply for $9 a quart. It's primarily used to condition saddles

No matter which product you choose I recommend you apply it by hand for an even finish

I think Bobby B. said he had used one of those with success. Maybe you could do the inside of the map pocket/kids trash can and test it out?

Whatever you choose, spray the product in the palm of you hand and apply generously like that. For the first couple of days the seats will be a little sticky, but after that, its all good

How old is this truck?
