Hello all,
I didnt want to post, but I am humble and my results are less than stellar! I spent my summers as a kid in my uncle's body shop detailing all of his cars. He strictly used meguiars, and so have I until two years ago. I did everything by hand. He inspected everything, but he gave me the money. As I got older, I moved up to a orbital buffer with the big 10" foam backing pad and terry cotton bonnets. Good results, but never used a light to inspect. I feel guilty leaving meguiar's, but I wanted to try something new. I am currently using a PC 7424 and LC pads with the klasse AIO and HG sealant topped with pinnacle carnuba.
I washed and clayed with meg's, and followed up with the products above. I decided to try the light, and my truck is covered in spider web swirls. I want to start over. I like the idea of layering synthetic and carnuba. Not to mention I still have the klasse and pinnacle (they were very hard to get off).
I think the problem is me and my pads. They are old, but I always washed them in the washing machine. I always used a machine to apply and remove wax. Looks like I might need to switch to MF towels to remove the wax. I have watched hours of the AG videos tyring to educate myself. At this point however, I am in no shape to touch anyone else's car until I perfect mine. I love information, so hit me!:buffing:
