Hi,

View attachment 55635

What type of paint damage is this ? and how do I fix it ??

This was caused by wet tumeric that was there on the paint for a day.

Thanks :)

Hummmm..."Wet Tumeric?" Is that part of ginger root family? Did a search and said to handle carefully in kitchen due to staining. Not to get on hands and counters etc.
Also said in case of staining in kitchen is to use lemon juice to remove.

Dunno if using lemon juice on a car paint is good idea---it's an acid I believe.

I would probably start with something like a quick detailer on a microfiber. If that doesn't work, move up and try a fine polish, if that doesn't work probably move on up to an AIO using a terry cloth towel. If that doesn't work my guess this would be considered an permanent etch. Probably the last resort is to compound the spot to "reduce" the stain somewhat and just live with it.

I'm sure someone will chime in soon.

Haha, I make a morning beverage with ginger, lemon and numeric and usually drink it from a clear Tervis tumbler. It's since turned the tumbler yellow-brown :-p Tumeric is on the alkaline side of things so the stain may have "etched" a little bit. I would first try a little cleaner/wax rubbed vigorously and wet (lots of product) with a microfiber or terry applicator. If that doesn't work then go for a light polish. I don't think it's permanent.

I will try these options this weekend, and let you guys know the result ...

I used a clear coat safe polish which definitely reduced the damage ...In another thread, I found some one had a similar problem and he kept his car in sun for day.. I did the same and I was surprised to see that the damage disappeared
