Hercules forced rotation polisher...

Do you think the difference in smoothness was due to the CCS pad being thicker or the CCS dimples themselves?

I think it had to do with the dimples. Up to this point, I've been kind of MEH about the CCS pads.

Give 'em the what for, Allen!!

Hi all...has anyone been able to find a smaller backing plate to fit 5" pads with this machine?

Nothing listed on the HF site.

ty!

Trying to make a decision on a gear driven...my PC 7424 is getting a little old, although it has served me well.

Looking at this, and want to stick with 5 inch pads, I'm looking at around $175. I have been eyeing the SPTA cordless, though. Just don't really know if I need cordless, but the SPTA is brushless, and supposedly just needs a regrease, which I have done on the PC several times now ;).

HF backs up their products, though...unsure of SPTA

I’ve been eyeballing this also. Was originally looking at the Adam’s Swirl Killer and some of Griots offerings, but why not go forced rotation instead at similar price points.

For the price point it is very hard to beat. Best part of purchasing from Harbor Freight is if you don't like it you can always return it.

don't know if it was mentioned or not, markus kleis mentions that the tool comes with Mobil 1 top tier grease and there is need to swap out the grease...

Great price for anyone looking to get a taste of forced rotation. If you don't like it you can just return it to your local harbor freight. Buy with confidence.

I saw Mike Phillips had done that video, a pretty glowing review of a Flex knock-off, from a hardcore Flex guy.

Always respect Mike Phillips for keeping it real and unbiased. If there was a Mount Rushmore of detailing, Mike Phillips would be on it.
