Do you think the difference in smoothness was due to the CCS pad being thicker or the CCS dimples themselves?
I think it had to do with the dimples. Up to this point, I've been kind of MEH about the CCS pads.

They just came out with a hercules cordless rotary, going for $110 tool only...
This might be what gets me to finally try a rotary..
it would nice if the hercules cordless tools can use other batteries (makita, etc.) the cordless SPTA DA can...
Hi all...has anyone been able to find a smaller backing plate to fit 5" pads with this machine?
Nothing listed on the HF site.

I’ve been eyeballing this also. Was originally looking at the Adam’s Swirl Killer and some of Griots offerings, but why not go forced rotation instead at similar price points.
