Here it is! BOSS - Best of Show System

Not at that price!

I just love posters like you who bash stuff and have never even tried them. You base your opinion on what?

I have three Rupes machines so know need for this but I don't bash it or any other legitimate system.

How about posting constructive things, like some of your recent details, tools, products used, pictures etc.

I agree 100%. Let's bash a new product when we haven't even held it in our hands or turned it on yet. (Eye roll).

The preliminary reviews from respected Detailers who tested the machine prior to its release are all nothing but positive. Couldn't be more happier for Griots for bringing another option into the large throw DA market.

Folks need to get over the price. If it's price too high then it will not sell. Besides I imagine the price reflects the warranty Griot is known for. Lastly, virtually everything is made in China, from Harley parts to IPhones---let's get over that given too.

I can say what I want cause I'm the consumer. No need for you to worry about me.

What I do love is exactly what I mentioned in the Rupes knockoffs thread.....everyone is up in arms over the Chinese knockoffs but wait till Griots releases theirs and man was I right. All the crying stopped! Funny how it went from "sue these guys, patent infringements" to "man this is a nice polisher". Lmao.

Back in the day, I was a tester for D-300 and the microfiber cutting discs.

Before the product was released there was no small contention going on re: the product(s), this was on DB and low and behold some guy said HE KNEW already how the product worked(Cutting discs) because he used microfiber bonnets stretched over foam pads..................... long story short I basically told him he knew zip and the fight was on.

Funny how this is being repeated once again on this product intro..................btw I was one of the testers over the last six months.

This is why I do not participate on the forums any longer.

So you posted just to say you don't post, got it.

Anyway, I'm sure plenty of reviews will be up soon enough.

900 watts compared to Rupes 500 watts, I am curious if that will benefit the polishing or if it's nothing more then an energy beast. What would have been sweet is if Griots would come out with a forced rotation version, akin to a FLEX but less expensive

You're totally making his point.

I am betting he has some valuable experience and potential contributions that we all could learn from. AutoConcierge, I myself would enjoy some more "Back in the Day" stories. :xyxthumbs:

Its like people that tell you they have a secret but wont share it.....they want people to ask. I guess I never liked that game lol

that's the thing, no one has yet or someone would have already came out with one...

It's simple if you haven't used the system you can refrain from telling us how it is since you don't have first hand knowledge. Griots actually hand picked several working detailers to test this out with them. They will all be posting soon and you can see what they think OR you can try it out and see what you think. But if you haven't be polite and move along, we do not tolerate people bashing other members or companies. End of story.

look forward to more honest input and possibly a short comparison video hopefully soon... :)

I'm sure that some companies have considered it but it seems that with forced rotation and a larger throw, it would have a tendency to walk on you more unless you hold it completely flat.

Some have commented already that the Flex 3401 has a tendency to walk on you, imagine it with a larger throw.

that's the beauty of the flex, though it doesn't have the larger throw it really doesn't need it (it's been a proven workhorse and that's probably why flex hasn't jumped on the larger throw bandwagon). I've never really had the problem with it walking on me, I've always polished with the pad flat on the surface as much as possible and by just adjusting your technique it can be fixed...
