Here it is! BOSS - Best of Show System

Had you initially said…….. "For me the price point just does not make sense, but hopefully I will get a chance to use the machine and see what the buffer and products together can do".

Had you said that I would have no problem with you………….however……………. about that cop-out thing.

You should get off your high horse. I dont care if you have a problem with me or not, you are just another person on the internet and my life will go on just fine lol

Rasky provided a great review with pics, answers to questions and a youtube video. All while you sit here whining about how questions are being posed to your almighty presence.

carry on.

How can they claim to "reinvent" paint correction when this machine is clearly Rupes clone/knockoff?

This is purely a marketing catch phrase. I'm sure you realize that. It's purely to get folks excited about a new product to hit the market. I'm sure Griots knows that they've let the market run ahead of them for the past few years as they've rested on their laurels. Now they've got some catch up.

It's like Apple trying to convince us that their new online music service is "revolutionary." Of course, it's not. But, you have to grab people's attention.

I've got to be honest, I'm disappointed in autogeeks affiliation with griots garage. Griots has always been overpriced, chemicals/products are -meh (at best) and their machines all seem to be knockoffs of others innovation... I honestly expect more from autogeek.

I disagree. The GG6 is a great machine. I have one, and it corrects very well and uses a diverse number of pads. I have plenty of Griot's products that I still use.

Frankly, a lot of detailing supplies are overpriced. Take Chemical Guys. Most of what they sell, IMHO, is overpriced and "meh" in terms of performance. But, a lot of people like CG and AG carries their products. AG doesn't carry most of what GG sells, but just because their polishes aren't as good as Menzerna, does that make them unworthy of being sold on AG?

I think AG has a mission, and that is to provide consumers with a wide array of industry standard detailing supplies that are above a certain level of expectations. I think they do a fine job of that.

In terms of the BOSS, I won't be purchasing it because I already have a GG6 and a Rupes 15. I don't need it, but if I were in the market for a DA polisher, I'd be looking at the Flex, Rupes and BOSS at this point. Like all things, reviews and time will tell.

If you saw a picture of Auto Concierge, you would know why he rides a high horse.:dblthumb2:

It was said earlier that AG should be ashamed to carry Griots products....seriously! Now I should first say I'm no angel on this site and have a couple bans to prove it but this is just nonsense, period! Are "some" of their products products pricey, sure but you could say that about just about anyone's products. I've been using Griots products since 2005 and have been happy with everything I've ever used. I can understand the "pros" liking other items better and that's to be understood but for my needs, couldn't be happier. Case in point, just used the Griots Complete Compound this weekend on a 2008 Scion xB "Gold Rush" edition. I can say this right here, right now, the best compound I'd ever used! It finished great and produced NO dust. Cost for this "over priced" Griots product...under $20.00, can't remember the exact price but you can look it up if in the market for a compound.

As far as the BOSS, well, I'd love to have one but guess what, my GG6 that is 4 yrs old gets the job done for me just fine, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't like one. I'm sure more and more reviews will be done by trusted names on our forum, Mike Phillips has already done a great review on it, so there you go but with more "regular Joes" buying/trying/reviewing we'll all get more opinions down the road here.

In closing I'm really surprised the thread has taken the turn it has and without looking up the post total buy these certain names I'm going to say it's just trolls being trolls. Just go away and stop clogging up the thread my God🚽

It is sad to see all the comments and ignorance on forums today. People should start recieving their BOSS orders next week and once more reviews come in I'm confident everyone will be signing a different tune. ;)

:iagree:

It's a shame, but it just shows how many bitter ignorant people their are out there these days.

Me, personally I put my money $$$ where my mouth is, my Boss 21 arrives tomorrow from AG.

I currently have Rupes 15, Duetto, Mini and GG6. Used a PC for a couple years. I'm looking forward to using my new BOSS. I didn't order the complete system, I did get a kit with the GG pads. But that being said, I did the same with my Rupes. I have used there pads and others and intend to do the same with my BOSS. I have large cross section of some of the tops polishes so I'll be sure to give the BOSS a good run before I comment on it.

Hi, Jeff, at some point if you want to take a chance on me and have me test out the polishing system contact me via pm, I'd be happy to post a thorough review of the GG Polshing Creams. I just have so much Menzerna, Wolfgang, Blackfire, HD and Pinnacle polishes and sealants I couldn't pull the trigger on the new stuff. I have used all of those over the past few years and could give a fair unbiased review that's for sure. Either way that's no biggie, I'm just looking forward to using the new BOSS!

I did purchase this kit along with a 5" backing plate and can't wait to give it a go.

Griots Garage BOSS G21 Long-Throw Orbital Starter Kit

I'll be doing a Hot Red Porsche Cayenne hopefully in the next couple weeks.

Here's some of my recent work along with my personal vehicles.

Beautiful work!! These posts kind of reminds me when the Flex PE8 kompakt rotary came out. There were alot of negative comments even before the machine was even used. Amazing when I read some of these posts...Haters will always hate no matter what. They could win $1,000,000 and they still will not be satisfied because they should have won $2,000,000.

All I know is that when the PE8 came out (I was one of the 1st ones to buy it) we now see it as a great addition to the detail arsenal and all the posts that I have seen (so far) have been very positive.

I am hoping this will be the same with the Boss. IMO, it looks like a win-win for everyone in the purchase of a DA. More Choices for the consumer.

And my PE8 came this past Friday from AG. I was playing around with it a little yesterday. As it's my first rotary I'm doing some experimenting with it. It's definitely a powerful little machine and to be respected!

FWIW, I commented on a few of the PE8, not because I think it's a bad tool, knowing Flex it's a rock star, I just didn't like that they put a rocker switch on it. If it had a traditional rotary trigger it would already be on my bench. ;)

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the switch, especially since I'm left handed.

I noticed on another forum there is some questions as to the warranty of these new RO's. is the warranty only 2 years, or a lifetime warranty like the GG6? I was under the assumption that these would be no different than the GG6 and would carry a lifetime warranty...

I already knew about what's written in bold, but didn't know if they changed it since coming out with these new polishers. thanks for the reply...

Let's keep this thread on topic and stay clear of the personal attacks or this thread will be shut down.

Got mine today, can't wait to try it out. All I can say is the BOSS is a BEAST!

Just flipping the switch you can tell this is one serious DA.

The first thing I noticed is w/o the washer the backing plate spins much more freely than the Rupes 15 I have. I never did the washer mod on it so I'm going to test drive the GG21 w/o the washer installed. I also bought a 5" backing plate so I'll try it with both. One thing for sure, the throw on the GG21 is immense!

Ordered mine yesterday with the pads. I cant wait for it to get here. i am just a weekend warrior but it was time to upgrade from my PC and i like Griots products.
