Hey All!
So turns out I actually joined in 2012...I went today to sign up to the forum after constantly reading threads, and because Autogeek seems to be one of the few active forums, since Facebook seems to have taken over, but I much prefer forums due to the fact that they become an archive of information over time.
I'm from Australia, and run a small detailing business. I started off in 2009 after I finished university I bought my first car, and became obsessed. Soon friends were asking for me to correct their cars, then it grew, I started a website and everything took off. It was always a part time thing, then a few years ago I got into Medical School, so away I went, and I would come back and detail cars continuously in the holidays. Then my brother got involved, and it was still a part time business, but during the holidays we were doing crazy amounts of work, and some really full on jobs like a full on wetsand of a Maserati to make an almost mirror flat finish.
Anyway I decided Medical School wasn't for you, and after thinking long and hard, I've decided to commit to detailing full time, and am currently in the process of opening a shop. Its small, but big enough for what we do, and from small things big things come! Its taken a lot longer than expected, and I sold my car and used all my savings, but it will be worth it, and thankfully, i have the full support of my wife. Once we get busy enough, hopefully my brother will leave full time employment and work with me in the business, but for the meantime he will be joining me on weekends and after work.
I hope to be able to document upcoming works, and share tips and tricks with everyone!
Cheers
Saad
