I am looking for a new APC. I have been using Optimum Power Clean, but find that I do not like the smell that it leaves. The smell does remind me of something that is not very pleasant. Smell is very subjective, so I will refrain from stating it here. I must add that I am very pleased with OPC cleaning power.
So my question is, is there an APC that can compete with OPC and leave a pleasant (??) after smell?

I too use OPC and do not like the smell at all just like you. The only other APC i've used and have a lot of experience with is Adams. It does smell considerably better and is a pretty good performing APC.

I have never used 1Z Einszett Blitz; however, all if their products that I have used so far have a similar smell that just smells clean. I know that is not a lot of help but maybe it will at least give you another product to consider.

I've been happy with Blackfire APC and it smells decent too.

I assume you'd like to use APC on the interior as well?

Chemical Guys All Clean + does a great job inside 20:1 and outside 10:1. It has a nice citrus smell

Thanks for all the replies. I am looking to use it on the interior for the cloth seats (when extracting), dash and doors. I guess my next step would be to check the suggested products reviews.

D101 is irritating to the nose and throat if I use it for something like tires. However for interiors it smells like a generic cleaning product. It is also very good on interiors and extremely cost effective.

Here you go this is my go to for APC

Meg's APC had a pleasant, almost fruity clean smell. I use it to post-treat after folex and extraction. I just spray it lightly after extraction and rub lightly with a MF towel and it leaves a nice clean smell after it dries.

Make sure you get all of the APC out of the carpet or it can "reactivate" when it gets wet

Jason Rose from Meguiar's has an interesting YouTube video filmed at AGO that discusses the phenomenon

Basically, dirty shoes get wet, you get in the car and the moisture reactivates the APC which cleans your shoes and transfers the dirt to the carpet

I was just going to say that, its called resoiling. The carpets will get dirty faster than usual. You should extract with clean water to rinse all apc from fabric or carpet.

^^ Wouldn't using Folex-only clear that issue?

The guys at Meguiar's say that rinsing with water is not enough

The alkalinity of the APC has to be neutralized
