How do YOU clean windows?

OK you've waited long enough! Turn the towel inside out and use the low nap side. I snap the towel about 2-3 times use the back side and it works perfect!

Use the microfiber waffle weave towels. They don't leave the lint behind.

I use stoners and two waffle weave glass towels. This combo works FAN-TAS-TIC!!! I've heard, though, that the new Meg's glass cleaner works even better. I dunno...I'm stuck on Stoners...."if it ain't broke then don't try to fix it"
+1!!

Stoners, WW towel to wipe, MF to follow up to avoid any streaks.

As someone else already mentioned cleaning windows out of the sun or at least while they are cool makes the biggest difference.

ive tried the above mentioned steps with stoners invisible glass cleaner and a microfiber, it cleans nice but i notice what seems to be pit marks or very small rock chips. only in the sun do i see these and upon inspection they are not rock marks for they are also on my side mirrors. will try and post pic if possible. has anyone experienced this or know what im talking about?

I have the exact same issue.. It has nothing to do with the SIG though. What you are probably seeing are pit marks on the windshield and when the cleaner get in there it fills the pits and can be seen (because its not wiped out from the pits). Some glass cleaners get in these pits and are even more noticable. I have used Megs Perfect Clarity, Megs D120, Stoners IG, Adams, and Briallianize and they show up i direct sun. They show less after a wash without class cleaner or during the rain when the windshield wipers do the work.
I can't explain you side view mirror issue though, unless what you are seeing is microfiber lint.

Griot's Glass Cleaner, MF towels, and the Glass Master kit for those hard to reach areas. I have also used Meguiar's NXT Glass cleaner and was always very happy with it.

its possible im seeing lint on my side mirrors, but what can be done to fix the pit marks on windshield?

Megs glass cleaner and a keno glass cloth. Never seen cleaner glass, in fact it's so clean, I can't see it.

Sounds like lint, I've seen this before and even on my paint, looked like tiny little scratches but it was just lint, I could wipe it and they would move around.

A.I.M. glass cleaner and MF. The cool glass is important. I don't know about the importance of this but I always spray cleaner on the rag, not the glass. Two reasons, no misting onto panels and it seems to remove whatever on the glass beter. Wipe to clean, flip the rag, wipe to 'polish'.

After constantly getting lint on the window I had a moment of clarity....stay tuned I'll tell you what I thought of!:hungry:

I think it was more of a momentary lapse of reasoning more than a moment of clarity:idea:. WW don't have low nap sides!:applause:

Exactly, it's MF lint. Same problem i'm having. I think I'm going to try huck towels. The only MF towel I have used that didn't do it came with a Rain X kit but is way to small.

I've battled with cleaning windows for years and "TODAY" I think I found my solution.

I started this week off with one thing on my mind and that was, finally figuring out a flawless window cleaning technique. In the past, I've always used a MF and what ever glass cleaner I had in the truck.

Monday I met up with three of the local distributors in my area and spent nearly over 130 on just different types of glass cleaners alone. I also was talked into buying some "Special" towels just for glass . Needless to say, I did see some improvement, however, the glass was still far from flawless.

Well today, I was out washing and actually took on a few more cars than expected and ended up running out if towels before I had finished up the scheduled cars. So before I got to my last two vehicles I ran in orileys auto just to see what they had. I found their "glass polishing and cleaning towels" and decided to give the a shot. LET ME TELL YA, THESE TOWELS KICK A$$. I used them with all of the different types of cleaners and not once did they streek, mar, or lent. I was soo impressed with these towels, That as soon as I finished my last car, I went back a brought everything they had on the shelves.

The only bad thing I have to say about the towels, is that they have a rubber gripping on one side, leaving only one side to clean, but costing only 3 bucks for a set of two towels, I can definitely live with that...

Highly suggest y'all give these a shot

Ok, so I had a chance to wash and re-use a few if the towels and "butter" man, these towels are sweet...

The reason I don't like glass towels is bc they don't absorb as well. I like a micro fiber turned inside out so that there is no lint. Try it I guarantee you like it.

Not sure how your turning your towels inside out when they are a one piece towel and only have two sides?? Are you meaning front and back? My CG WW absorbs just fine but lints. Are you talking about the suede MF not absorbing? I've seen those sold as glass towels.

Stoners and newspaper for really dirty windows. I found by accident after washing car with DP RW&G window wasnt completly shut and inside window had some water streaks from the wash water leaking in grabbed my ww that had just been used to dry car still damp and wiped inside of windows, windows came out perfectly clear. now after every rinseless wash wipe all interior windows with damp ww. the cleaner in DP rinsless makes windows spotless

I use Invisible Glass with a Terri-cloth towel. Then wipe with a Micro-fiber towel. Seems to work well.
