How good is this? BISSELL Little Green ProHeat ?

Just got this back from Bissell. It includes a 10% coupon for online purchases!

Hi Kyle,

We're glad you contacted us as we're happy to help you with your question.

Yes, the heater on your ProHeat model will heat the water 25 degrees hotter; up to 180 degrees. So you could us tap water that is up to 155 degrees.

You should definitely not use boiling water as this will melt the bladder and cause damage. I'm so glad you asked before doing so!

Please let me know if you have any additional questions and I'd be happy to help! We are committed to making sure that you receive the highest level of service, so we're asking for your help in evaluating your experience with us today! Please take a moment to complete our brief survey, which has up to 34 questions, by selecting the link below or by copying and pasting it into your browser.

You keep saying it doesn't suck water. If that was your case then your unit was defective or you weren't using it correctly. I just used it to clean up a very dirty seat and the seat was dried after one hour. And again, if you are not a professional or are just looking for a back up machine if you are then I would highly recommend this machine.

That bench seat still looks wet! It's darker than the original pic dude!

If you're going to post results defending the lgm, see KMGs results above for reference on how to show people what it's capable of. His results are pro!

I have the 'Bissell Deep Clean Pet Lift Off' and the lift off pod looks exactly like that. *This is an upright cleaner for around the house, but as the lift off capability. (No brainer for me since it can be used around the house and for cars)

I'm not sure if the specs are the same (although mine has their 'heat wave technology'). If they are then I would recommend it; mine works perfectly for my needs.

This is a serious question:

Do you think that thing would suck up cat puke? Cats throw up from time to time, and I end up sucking it up with a shop vac which works so-so. Then it leaves nasty clumps of puke stuck in the shop vac hose. I'm thinking this could be better because the water would flush it through. Is the suction as strong as a regular house vac?

U should be cleaning all the puke up first. Then retreat or respray with some cleaner. Agitate and then use the Bissel.

Yeah, like the person above said; I always clean up the puke by hand first.

The woman's dogs will puke from time to time and sometimes it dries because we don't see it. Once we pick at it to pick it up, this Bissell annihilates any staining deep in carpet. Also, My parents had an issue with their sick cat puking everywhere, so I brought this thing over and brought their carpet back to new, not to mention its super easy to use the lift off on the stairs or in tough places.

I'm not sure if sucking up puke could potentially damage anything (or clog), but its not something I want to try.

As far as your last question regarding suction: I don't think it is as powerful as a household vacuum, especially the handheld portions of each....but this thing cleans very nicely and doesn't leave any carpet or upholstery unbearably wet.

I do clean the puke up by hand first. I was hoping to buy a tool where I didn't have to touch puke - even with gloves it makes me want to puke. But, it still leaves nasty puke crust inside the vac hose from when I extract it. I'm hoping for a miracle machine I can just sit on top of the cat puke and get a clean rug, without a puked-up machine. Because once you suck up that cat puke, the machine is ruined until you clean it out with soap. Anytime you turn the machine on, the exhaust smells like an emetophile's breath after a trip to the vomitorium.

I think I'm going to _ _ _ _ Im the MAN

Look, for $100 bucks this machine will pay itself off REALLY fast. We all know the saying "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR". Does $100 bucks mean this thing is a piece of crap? Absolutely not. Would spending $700+ on a professional hot water extractor yield better results and last longer? Yes.

If you are a hobbyist and can't afford a $700 dollar unit than the LGM is a great option for you.

If you are a hobbyist/aspiring detailer...the LGM is a great option for you.

If you are a professional detailer with a growing business...the LGM is not the best option. A professional grade hot water extractor would be the better choice.

Hope this helps,
Brian

Yeah, don't spend the $250+ then.

Not sure how to combat your issue with some sort of machine, but I always pick up with hand (gloved of course), then vacuum any remaining tiny pieces, then spot treat it with spray, disinfectant and the machine.

Doubt this machine would help you with your process.

What he said^^

I used a Mytee at a car dealer and it was awesome. You cant even compare it to a $100 machine you get from Wal-Mart, but........

The consumer extractors work fine for people like me that take care of my own cars, family's, friend's, co-workers and a handful of people I don't know ('customers').

I don't have time to do anything more and can't justify buying a $700+ machine (same thing goes for steamers), when I can spend that money elsewhere.

That's because in that picture it is still wet DUDE! That was right after I got done. And that picture does show what its capable of. Those stains were eight years old and looks a hell of a lot better. Not bad for a $75 machine.

Why not use a napkin or something similar to remove the cat puke before cleaning it? I would not use my vac or bisell for that.

great info, exactly what I wanted to hear. what is the coupon if you mind me asking?

Bed bath and beyond always have 20% off coupons. They take competitors and expired coupons. It is their standard policy

I've gone through 2 LGM in the past and it was the sprayer that died on both of those machines. Still extracted the same, just lost the benefit of spraying the hot cleaning solution.

A lot of times the machines need to be descaled, much like a coffee pot. When mine would start spraying weakly, I'd flush it with white vinegar. That always made it good as new.

Also make sure the fresh water tank is fully seated in the machine, or it can suck air, causing problems.
You really can't beat them for the price. They work well for ~$100.

I'm pretty sure that it was the pump failed, but I will check it again. Its still in the garage collecting dust. If I can hear the pump making noise then I will try cleaning with the vinegar. You're right for $100 (or a bit less) it served its purpose well.

Sometimes when I first fire up the machine I have a very hard time getting it to spray water, but once it starts spraying it's usually fine.
I just hate how it spits out cold water if you stop spraying for a minute since it sits in the hose and cools off.

Hey guys Target is going to have the Bissell pro heat on sale this black Friday for $50. Can't beat that deal. If you don't have one already I would pick one up.

The one on sale is not the proheat version.
