How many cars do you guys get out of one 500ml IronX bottle?
I feel like I may be using too much since I only get about 2.5 cars per bottle.

I used about 4oz on my Si. Just spray lightly, then spread it with an ONR soaked towel once it begins to react.

If you hit the whole car then maybe 4 or 5. I usually dont use it or will just use it in spots like back ends or wheels. Places where most contamination exists.

I get between 2-3 cars, so 2.5 on average sounds about par for me.

At those sort of volumes, how long before the iron-x starts drying out on you?

I am in a completely different camp, using pretty much the whole bottle per car - it is the only way I can get the product to sit on the paint for anywhere close to the 5 to 10 minutes needed.

A light spray only leads to the product drying out very quickly (2 min) in which case I do not see it having sufficient time to properly dissolve the iron contaminants.

I'm with you on this one. The first time I used it on my focus I used pretty much the whole bottle, had just enough to do the front end and tailgate on my wifes flex. I prob won't use as much next time...my car smelled funny for a week after that.

Same. I've been thinking about diluting a bottle for this exact reason.

I used a whole bottle on my white GMC 2500 savana cargo van, but there was a lot of contamination.

I typically get around 3 regular sized vehicles. Sometimes more sometimes less.

I can get 4 usually. The stuff goes fast so I always keep a couple gallons handy to refill. Some cars I just do key areas if they aren't too bad to save some.

I'd say about 3 cars sounds about right--I'm halfway thru a bottle using it on half my Altima and most of my Dad's Chevy Venture.

About two. Going to order the paste version soon it's supposed to be more economical.

I have Iron X but haven't used it yet. My plan when using it is to spray, agitate and rinse on panel at a time since it shouldn't be allowed to dry.

I've always wanted to try the paste version, but haven't because the spray is so dang fast. It's a spray, not a paste I have to apply.
