How NOT to make money detailing

joe is wright the guy is trying so cut him some slack. put joe up to alot of you guys on here and you will look just as bad. We dont tell you guys your a joke.Live and let live.God looks out for us all in his way.

I'm glad your helping him Joe :dblthumb2:, at least Lee is trying to make his own way and not collecting welfare.
 
I see ads like this a lot and I think they probably could get a lot of calls because of the price. If they can make money it would be in volume. I would assume its not the best work but you never know.

Personally I wouldn't charge anywhere near that low. If it costs me business I'm ok with it because it's probably someone who would expect more for their money than what they paid for
 
It doesn't surprise me that people are living in their van with the prices I've seen local CL detailers (< and I use that term reluctantly) charge. What's frustrating is that everyone thinks if they just under bid everybody else they'll end up with all the business. In reality all that happens is they last 6 months, go out of business and leave 1,000 more negative expierences for me to deal with

Wow, and here in my experience people are more apt to go with higher prices because they think they will get better services. I must be totally wrong!
 
Buy that guys vehicle and supplies in winter! That's what we do lol! Hard work + Cheap rates = Slaved to go backwards..... He'll be on the for sale end of Craigslist soon :dblthumb2:
 
Where I live there is a mobile detailer offering interior cleaning and exterior washing and polishing but no correction for $29.99. My sister in law called him and he told her he was booked for all the next coming week and he will call her back in about 10 days.

Would you believe?
 
20$ is what my parents would pay me or a neighbor...if its a business thats too low^
