How to remove scartches from dash cluster?

Meguiar's PlastX is probably the best plastic polish on the market but the problem is getting in there and working the polish. You don't just wipe it on and wipe it off.

:)

^ Agreed.

It takes a little bit of rubbing but not much.
I recently did a vehicle for someone that had a lot of fine scratches on his gauge cover.
He said to me "Can you get rid of these scratches? They have been there for years."
I used Meguiar's PlastX on the end of a microfiber towel and in moments they were gone.
He was truly amazed with the almost instant results. NOTE: I like to "amaze" my clients.

Today, I tried both Plastx and M17 w/microfiber towel on my dash cluster.. Neither of them worked as good as the DP AIO did. It seems there's a significant layer of gritty feeling contaminants on the plastic that the DP AIO was able to cut through and get rid of, whereas both Plastx and M17 were not.. And even with me having minor problems completely removing the DP, it still left a better looking final result than the Megs.
I guess I should try claying the dash cluster to see if the layer of contaminants come off.. I'll get back to it.

Ive done it on Corollas, Ion's, Camrys plenty of cars. I dont know if you used too much product or didnt work it in enough. I have had great success doing it for my dealer friend on his cars for sale.

Here's one I have done.

I used Menzerna SF4000, a 4" Lake Country Black/Grey :dunno: pad, and a normal 8mm DA (over here in South Africa they are sold as a rebranded DAS-6 Pro)

It obviously helped that it was out the car :D

Does the sun reflect fine swirls marks? or it is flawless?

This was done for a customer, so I never got to see it once it was re-installed in the car, however inspecting it with various light sources during the actual correction, it certainly seemed to be 99% defect free... there were no visible light swirls.
