How To Use the Dupray Hill Injection Steam Cleaner

Mike, the results from using the Hill Injector are truly amazing! I have had similar results with leather, vinyl and interior surfaces. Carpet cleaning is good as well.

I would definately recommend distilled water and the customer service agent at Dupray had me add a small amount of vinegar to distilled water to ensure a clean machine.

I purchased my Hill Injector this past February and had to send it in for warranty (thermostat) repair in June and have just been told that I have to return it to Buffalo, New York for further repairs of a problem that they cannot diagnose over the phone. Repairs are turned around in 3-5 days, but shipping time can have an effect on your business as they have no equipment to send out for you to use while your steamer is being repaired.

Just wanted to give you a testimonial about use, and repairs.

I would agree on using distilled water in it. The first time I cleaned out the tank, I was surprised how much sediment gunk there was ( I was using filtered water). It may be set up to use tap water. But, with distilled less than $1 per gallon, I won't push it anymore.

I also concur on it not being the machine for exterior cleaning. Those machines they show on Youtube throw out a lot more steam (and cost about 10k I think). I tried it to see and it was way to slow.

As someone pointed out. There are a lot of other uses for this other than auto. Dupray's site has a lot of useful info for their steamer (and steamers in general).

I like working with quality tools. I'm glad I bought this steamer.

It's my normal practice for all the years I've been writing articles to ALSO include the LINKS to where you can get the stuff I showcase in my articles. It only makes common sense? Most other people don't include the links because it's not their duty to make the company money but it is my duty.

Don't forget to stock up on microfiber towels. You can use any color but white shows how much dirt and grime you're pulling from the surface being cleaned. When you switch to a clean towel and no longer see dirt building up you know the area is clean and you can move on.
