Congratulations Dave. I am very happy for you.:dblthumb2: Believe me, I know how you feel. I was laid off in May and have not been able to find anything. Fortunately, my detailing is starting to take off, but I could still use a full time gig.

Great news!!! Sounds like the new owners will be good to work for. I spent some time as a production supervisor - hardest job I've ever had, and I've had several. Actually, I have a similar story and credit Divine intervention for getting me OUT of supervision.

Also like to commend you on taking a risk to start your own business instead of depending on the government! :props:

I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and best wishes. I got the final call yesterday and I start back this Monday morning.:righton:

I do AGO, coffee and email every morning. Also I am pretty much hopelessly addicted to this place so I am sure I'll be on here at some point in the evenings too.
 
Wow - Awesome news!! Congrats man - - 2 of my neighbors have been unemployed for over a year now!! I offer them part time work detailing with me but they have become to comfortable drawing unemployment. I love how you shot for something you loved and was doing your best to tough out the weather. Good things happen to good people! Congrats man!!!!!!!!!!

I just returned to work myself after a long layoff. Hard to describe the helpless feeling, isn't it? Prayers always help, in one way or another.

I have seen stage 4 cancer patients come back to 100% due to the power of prayer so why wouldn't it help in any other situation? The only thing is that most times when we pray for one thing, something totally unexpected and often different than what we expect happens. I am just glad that "HE" didn't feel that I should be a monk or something.

It's not a detailing gig but I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work steadily again. Having said that, I am off to weather my first day back!! Thanks again to all of you here for the encouragement and kind words. Have a great day!!

Well the first week is done!! Thank goodness.. My feet are killing me.:cry: I forgot just how much responsibility and accountability this position entails but after being a one man band detailing company for a while the day job seems much easier.:xyxthumbs:

And of course now that I am back to work full time I get calls to detail 3 cars and 2 pickup trucks. Go figure. Well my goal to earn a good deal of start up capital is off to a good start.
