I've seen his Baby Benz and thought of him when this one booked for a coating job
I gotta admit, this is one sexy beast. The only thing better than the looks is the way it sounds. The twins calm the note of a the V8 compared to the N/A ones of days past but this one has some valves that can be opened upon command to release the beast. Combined neither touch the absolutely insane performance of it though. I'll let those that aren't familiar with it look it up.
This one came in for a late-fall clean up and coating prior to the snow falling. It's a 2018 MBZ AMG GT-c. IIRC they sold maybe 800 of this year. The only option missing off this one are the carbon ceramic brakes.
Pretty simple clean up which involved a light polish with CarPro Essence using my Rupes Mille outfitted with their Yellow Pads designed for the Mille. Topped it all off with Cquartz UK 3.0 and a bit of WETS for the trim. Another colder, gray day in Ohio so the pics are Meh. Color is fantastic and the pics absolutely don't do it justice. Such beautiful metallic flake in the Magnetite Black Metallic which is a blue-black combo. The only downside but a valuable one if that makes sense, is that the entire hood and front fenders are covered in PPF which blurs the reflections a bit by nature. Well worth the benefits but on this car with such a pronounced front end it bugs me a little.
Onto the pics:
