As long as you keep the pad flat (in relation to the panel) then all the concerns around the machine 'walking' on you are negated.
Once you learn which direction the machine wants to move when you get it 'wrong' (say you lift the rear too high and it wants to go left) it easy to make small adjustments in your pad angle to get back to a more 'neutral' feel with the machine... the effect wouldn't have been felt with your non-forced rotation DA - pad rotation will have slowed down sure, but perhaps not enough to visibly notice.... but the 3401 will let you 'talk to you'.... listen and it's a dream :buffing::buffing::buffing:
