I finally tried the Rupes pads

The B&S shine MF pads are the worst pads I've ever used. I ordered 10 of them and every one of them are torn to shreds from using them on my Rupes 21. They get WAY too hot VERY quickly and their glue doesn't hold. They deform very quickly also.

I went back to the Megs MF pads and all is well again.

Wow, thanks for the heads up. I only ordered one 6.5" to try on my LHR21.

I went back to the Megs MF pads and all is well again.

I had the same experiecne on my Rupes 15.

BnF MF pads, black foam, and red foam failed on me (heat is the culprit). The MF pads did have good correction though

Did you guys switch to a different pad to allow the first to cool when it got hot--then jump back to the first pad when pad 2 got hot??

While I don't have a Rupes 21 the GG6 can generate some heat so I use pad 1 for awhile, then clean it on the fly and set it asside to cool while using pad 2. Then back to pad 1 while pad 2 cools. Never had a problem with any B&S pad using this technique.

I actually did 2 or 3 sections then toss the pad into a bucket of water then move on to the next pad. When 3 or 4 are in the bucket I wash and wrink them out. But all of this was last year. Results were still great but the foam pads started splitting in the middle. I still have the pads and I can take photos if you wish to see

I certainly believe you--just that I had never heard of this happening with B&S pads. You should take pictures and send to their customer service department.

Yup, of course. Although the GG6 won't generate anywhere near as much pad heat as the Rupes.
