I hate letting other people touch my car!

Took my car to get an oil change, usually I do it, but I didnt want to get my garage floor all dirty again. So i washed the car before she went in. Came out spotted to hell and you can see how dirty there wash bucket water was because it was on my car. Oh and a bunch more scratches were added to... love that free option they throw in... NOT.

I hate taking my car out of the garage haha.

I've learned over time that when it comes to body shop recommendations, some people are just BLIND. People swear a shop does great work, until I point out all the flaws. I've learned to go to the shop, ask for a tour, check out the work, then decide.

I would never take a recommendation from an average Joe as most don't remotely have a clue. I been in and around the automotive biz for 30 years and I like to think I know a little. Sales, service , parts, body shop been there done that. I did inspect the shop and discussed my expectations with the owner. This shop came recommended from a friend who has spent his whole life in the auto body business. He recently had enough and sold his body shop and went to work for a large insurance company and comes in contact with lots of body shops. I figured he would be a good resource and he was in a way. The work was flawless but the post clean up process was a disaster. Again they should know better. Hope the 993 GT3 that was parked next to mine was not washed the same way! I deviated from my normal auto body drop off routine and got bit, lesson learned.

Eveyone here has their own stories and experiences. I respect the opinion of the thread starter.

I clicked on a subject that I thought was another topic. As I for one welcome others to touch my paint...I'm sure that you've seen those threads...most here do not.

...anyway, if a business person touches my home or my car, does a magnificient job on what they're being paid to do, then I personally have no problems cleaning up the small stuff.

Before I get waaayyy off topic, I, too, would be focused on the job at hand...and would be appreciative of the fact that no harm was done to the finish while trying to clean up after themselves, or lack thereof.

So this would be some kind of nightmare situation?

Honestly...
Even if a woman was naked and asked me if she could lay upon any of my vehicles...

I care too much to say: "Yes".

Y8.My teen center is kinda like the same thing except we have cheap wash mits and overdiluted meguiars and other brand car wash soap. We also use improper wash methods. You think a foam gun or an AG purchase with proper tools would be good ??

My horror story was at work (7 years ago)
I just finished 2 days of clay'ing, hand polishing, and waxing my first vehicle. Since it was my daily driver, I had no choice but to take it to work. Everyone I work with knows I'm very picky about my truck too and respects the fact.
In the middle of the day I was driving through the side parking lot on a forklift and noticed a POS van parked next to my truck where another employee vehicle use to reside. So of course I went to investigate. There was a customer and my GM standing between the van and my truck. As I'm cruising by, my manager hands the customer a form to sign and the guy lays the paper on top of my hood and starts to write with a ball point pen. I F*&$% slammed the breaks of the fork lift, let out a lion's roar and several choice words as I flung over there ready to smash the guys face in.
He could have easily put the paper on the side of his van but lays it right on my clean glimmering hood. People are so damn ignorant
