Oh and I'll be here for this lovely storm...unfortunately. I just hope it doesn't screw around with my flight out of here on Saturday!
 
I live in San Antonio. It is going to be in the 20's soon. We are not used to that kind of weather.

I hope that I survive.
 
I may have to pay up the a** here in southern CA, but the weather sure makes it worth it!

If I had such a case, I would live in the other location where the winter is not so severe season.
 
I live in Canada where we get 2 feet of snow regularly and the temps hover around the 0*F mark for months at a time. Don't complain about winter in Houston.
 
Chicago hasn't had an inch of snow yet, although last night I drove through a couple snow squals and when I got back to work there was more than an inch, so the 300+ days w/o snow record could be over. I ONR'd my car last Sat because it was 45 and even did so to my buddy's MS3 a couple days before Christmas, so its been very mild this winter. We're supposed to get some snow tomorrow but come Monday its supposed to be 38 and rainy, LOL.

I'm sure everyone agree's.......SPRING, BRING IT!

This thread makes me sad...

In Edmonton AB, we just had two blizzard back to back

Outside temp -18F, add the wind chill factor, your looking at -40F and below.

At that temperature, skin freezes in less than a minute

My friend; an attendant for First Air, was telling me on a recent Flight to Cambrigde bay, she encountered -70F. That temperature, skin freeze in less than 30s.

... Most of the "winters" in the US are similar to the summers up North, be thankful with what you have.
 
I'd like to mention about the weather in NY... Today, I went out to start my car.. It was literally frozen. Like, couldn't open the door frozen. Like, had to chip away at ice to get in.. frozen. Then, I looked at the temp after starting my car and letting it warm up "-10". Then went to the news.. said it was gonna be -30.... -30. It is so cold that, I am finding drafts in my house I never new existed before.
 
Ya I'm in seattle weather sucks here but at least my business is steady.

spray this around the doors before and wait 5 mins, help avoid accidents

It happens!! I put two nice long scratches in my windshield when I used the icemaster scraper. The brass blades are fine on glass.. it was the rock wedged between the glass and the blade that did the damage.

Another little winter tip. Apply Gtechniq G1 smart glass, make ice hardly stick and snow comes off with the wipers! Lasts a long time too!
 
Hey Andrew, atleast there's hockey! Speaking of that, I heard the Wings long time color guy, Micky Redmond, tell the story of when they'd go up there for a game they left the bus running the whole time......THAT'S CRAZY!

I heard its beautiful up there though!

For those of you saying you wish you were in Florida....stop. Florida is awful. I know we have nice winters and Disney world, but that's it. The summers here are horrible. I mean going to the car at 6am and sweat covering you from walking 5 ft is the worst. Every afternoon in the summer it rains so it feels like walking around in a fish tank. And i know you're thinking "I'll just go into air conditioning" hahaha. It's so hot the air conditioning stop working or doesn't even help. So our summer woes are like winter woes for the rest of you.

Very true! One of my childhood friends I played hockey with when I was 8 is now on the Vancouver Giants soon to be drafted into the NHL.

Today was a gorgeous day! Clear blue skies, warmer 14F, love it here!

We have low taxes, no emissions control (guess who is getting the cats removed?? :P ), no front licence plates, 110km/h speed limits everywhere.

For the most part here in Cali, its detail weather almost daily. Average temps in the 60's during winter :)
