Well I thought we could start a thread for Fay haters! The way she is going off shore, on shore, off shore, I think we might have enough to start a club. Chime in and let us know what weather you got from her, and post some pictures. We have lots of members from all over that never get to experience the "joys" of hurricane season, so lets show them the fun!!!
I documented as much as I could considering, the worst part was last night when it was pitch black, but I was able to show you what it did to my neighborhood, my house, and most importantly my commute to work! If anyone is dating a "Fay", run, run fast, she is bad news!

Ok here is my neighbors ditch, is always dry as a bone!

This is my backyard, we have a small lake that is now a HUGE lake! Ducks love it.

Here is the front yard, as you can see we are about ten feets from having water on the front porch!

This is the side of the house, all this water you see does not belong there! I do not know who gave it permission to enter but it needs to go away!

This is the side of the house, use to be a little dip between the properties, now its a little river... I think I will call it Fay's River!

Ahhh and for the "I love Fay" part.... this is my kitchen window! That stuff all over the place is water!:(
Please take note to towels used in photos....no microfibers were harmed in making this thread!:D

Water coming in over the sliders...

This one is good... that would be my paint coming off the wall thanks to Fay!

Well maybe I didn't like the white walls, will have to paint a new color!

This is the only size bucket that would hold enough water so I could sleep a couple hours in between dumping the buckets!

And then we are off to work....

Boy did I wish I still had my Expedition today!

Getting onto 95 was fun...

Needless to say, that water should not be there!

Finally on 95 and headed for blue skies at Autogeek, well maybe not blue but hopefully they will be soon!

Arrive at Autogeek, and we only lost a couple trees... and waxes are safe and dry!

You can see the winds blowing the trees still, Fay just wont leave us!

Since we are backed up to Turnpike we get to see a little bit of the road situations too... Max showed me this one. Its a Mini facing Southbound, but in the Northbound lane. Luckily MR. Fla Highway Patrol was there to help him turn around! Maybe he got excited when he saw the Autogeek sign and lost control!

Hope you all enjoy first hand hurricane updates.... we have to have a sense of humor about it, its required to live in Fla!
So Dennis, Gary, Angelo, and all you others, lets hear how your experience was with Fay!

Thanks for the pics, that is the one thing I do not miss bout living in FL. Maybe I should move back to FL and work for you guys, nice house you have. Sorry bout the water damage from Fay.

My friend got some pics of us surfing I have to have him send :righton:

Got a sh!tload of rain, but down here with all our canals and waterway etc, it drains quickly so theres rarely any flooding. Though my roof seems to have a leak now....water seemed to be dripping from one of the fire alarms in one of the hallways

I'm in JAX, so I expect the rest of today and all day tomorrow to be worse than it is now. sporatic rain with 15-25 knot winds right now. guessing 20-40+ winds over the next 24-36 hours. I'll try and get some pics but I don't expect anything too dramatic.

My surf window might be Friday before dark. We have a nice jetty at the St Johns River inlet that'll block the northeast chop down a bit.

Hoping to get a free day off work out of this...sounds a little selfish but...LOL

Good luck with that, becareful surfing, we are about to get more rain, so back to the water buckets and MF towels in the house!

Looks like Fay has a long tail that is following her up the state.... rain, rain, here we come!

It only rain 4 times for about 30 mins each during the past 2 days. It's been super muggy here and today it's been the most wind we had (10-25 mph). Sorry to see your area get like a mini river, make sure you call your Insurance for the water damaged to get it fix fast, before it grow's mold. I was ready for it but like Charley it turn to the NE. Take care of yourself Meghan and if you need anything call me or PM.........Angelo

Meghan, glad you and your house are alright. Looks like I see a paint party at Meghan's soon:D

And I see that W.G. Fusion is holding up very nice..

All this water standing around Meghan's place is just from all the product "testing" that goes on there, that even the grass and house bead water!

Sorry to see you recieved some damage, but try to look on the bright side of it, the value of your house, now considered water front property, will surely go up. In all seriousnes, if you or your loved ones were not injured by the storm consider yourself lucky.

Ugh...Sorry to see that Meghan. I hope you have plenty of Guzzlers ready :(

Meg loves guzzlers :D

Only thing that sucks with the waves with these storms, the friggen rip current and drifting......end up about a mile away from where you started lol. I'd be out there for so long I'd lose track of where I was, get out, and where the heck am I??

I saw a rental van tipped over on I-95, about the extent other than some palm fronds laying around. Glad to see the Lake picked up almost a foot.

I wonder why we didn't all float away with all the rain we're having.:D

Fay was not to bad for my part of southwest Florida. It ended up coming a shore about 50 miles south of where I live. After coming a shore it turned inland and ended up passing east of the Fort Myers/Cape Coral area. Being west of the storm is the best place to be so we were lucky. We had some rain and winds up to about 55 mph so not much to worry about. The worst part was being bored sitting in the house all day.

Also I live on the water and being on the west part of the storm causes the water to be blown out instead of in so the water level on my seawall was alot lower than normal.

It wasn't so bad down here in miami but i am glad it rained now i can go play in the mud with my 4wheller lots of mud out there in the glades :D

I drove past Autogeek today, it was much nicer there than it is in Brevard!( I saw sunlight for the first time in 2 days!!) I was so tempted to just drive by but had to stick to my guns and get to W. Palm to pick up the 330

YEEEOW! Looks like some home repair Meghan. Darn.
One of the things that was on the news here in Ca. was some guy in Fla. parasurfing. Had actual footage of him being thrown into a building a couple of hundred yards after landing. Don't remember what town.
