Well I thought we could start a thread for Fay haters! The way she is going off shore, on shore, off shore, I think we might have enough to start a club. Chime in and let us know what weather you got from her, and post some pictures. We have lots of members from all over that never get to experience the "joys" of hurricane season, so lets show them the fun!!!
I documented as much as I could considering, the worst part was last night when it was pitch black, but I was able to show you what it did to my neighborhood, my house, and most importantly my commute to work! If anyone is dating a "Fay", run, run fast, she is bad news!
Ok here is my neighbors ditch, is always dry as a bone!
This is my backyard, we have a small lake that is now a HUGE lake! Ducks love it.
Here is the front yard, as you can see we are about ten feets from having water on the front porch!
This is the side of the house, all this water you see does not belong there! I do not know who gave it permission to enter but it needs to go away!
This is the side of the house, use to be a little dip between the properties, now its a little river... I think I will call it Fay's River!
Ahhh and for the "I love Fay" part.... this is my kitchen window! That stuff all over the place is water!
Please take note to towels used in photos....no microfibers were harmed in making this thread!
Water coming in over the sliders...
This one is good... that would be my paint coming off the wall thanks to Fay!
Well maybe I didn't like the white walls, will have to paint a new color!
This is the only size bucket that would hold enough water so I could sleep a couple hours in between dumping the buckets!
And then we are off to work....
Boy did I wish I still had my Expedition today!
Getting onto 95 was fun...
Needless to say, that water should not be there!
Finally on 95 and headed for blue skies at Autogeek, well maybe not blue but hopefully they will be soon!
Arrive at Autogeek, and we only lost a couple trees... and waxes are safe and dry!
You can see the winds blowing the trees still, Fay just wont leave us!
Since we are backed up to Turnpike we get to see a little bit of the road situations too... Max showed me this one. Its a Mini facing Southbound, but in the Northbound lane. Luckily MR. Fla Highway Patrol was there to help him turn around! Maybe he got excited when he saw the Autogeek sign and lost control!
Hope you all enjoy first hand hurricane updates.... we have to have a sense of humor about it, its required to live in Fla!
So Dennis, Gary, Angelo, and all you others, lets hear how your experience was with Fay!
