I like Mustangs!

Automatic or stick?

The manual trans is apparently chinese made and there were reports of early '11 models with clutch and or trans problems. I think they have been worked out but I have an automatic that I'm very happy with (and I've always been a MT fan).

I like them too...LOL.

Here is my current ride. (Also have had a 1990 5.0 LX 5 speed)

Automatic or stick?
Stick. And nothing has been fixed , the 2012 is plaqued with the same tranny problems . Grinding, getting stuck in gear, ect . Some owners have had this start just days after the purchase .Ford has no fix for it . Some owners are on their second or third replacement tranny and they turn out to be just as bad as the original .
Now the NHTSB is involved because it's a safety issue .
Just a piss poor design that should have never been put in the Mustang and to top it off the dang thing is made in China !
Henry Ford must be rolling over in the grave .

Blaming the Chinese for Ford's quality is plain idiocy. Ford determines the quality (or lack thereof). Ford defines the requirements, manufacturing, processes/tolerances, inspection processes and testing. Ford carries the blame, not the Chinese. The Chinese are supplying EXACTLY what Ford wants or Ford would find another subcontractor. Let's try to focus on the real culprits.

Now back to the REAL thread: The new Mustangs are amazing. For those who have not seen the news the 2013 Shelby is going to have 650hp (100 more than the current version) with 600 ft-lbs and be able to surpass 200MPH mark (the current 151MPH governor is being removed). The problem with the 2013s will be the same as it has been for awhile with Mustangs is that they can not get that HP to the ground w/o spinning/shredding tires.

BTW: Got a chance to drive a '69 Boss 429. To say it was fast is an understatement. One of the first cars I drove that the owner asked me to go around water puddles on the street. Little did I know that would be my mantra when I got older

I took mine through Deals Gap (The Tail of the Dragon) about a year after I bought it. What a great experience. Here are a few shots of my brother riding with me through the curves. I have close to 30 shots of the trip. There were 3 different photographers taking and selling photos that day.

I bought some of those too...

Nice set of wheels. I would not mine haveing a shelby in my Garage. I have been thinging about selling the LX. Not that there is any thing wrong with her. I just hae too many projects and I am trying to restore my dads 280SL 1968 very expensive.A lot easyer car to drive and injoy with a removalable hard top and canvas soft top. Not fast but she is a stunning car last to leave the factory all hand made.

I have to get the darn! roof fixed on my 1987 5.0 I put it up on rum 9 did not notice till the Fabulous fords show at Knots Berry farm My fault know my wife is going to help me to make sure we only go to rum 8 on our four post lift. I found a restorer and its going to cost me a arm and a leg more than the valve in the blue book, but its is so clean I could not see selling her. The Corbra-R needs to be registered next year when I have the money it will be interesting to compare the two car in driving characteristics and compare.
What kind of poishes and wax or sealnt do you use on your mustang. Do you uses a DA for polishing and Waxing or hand waxa panel at a time.

I just used my Makita rotary with LC foam pads to polish mine with Megs Ultra polish. I applied one coat of Poorboys Ex by hand and need for it to stop raining so i can machine apply the second coat. Then a hand waxing with Natty Blue.

I like em too. I have an '06 GT convertible, and an '07 4.0 ltr. Changed the tune, intake, and added dual exhaust to the V6. Fun to drive as well.

<-- here's my '68 convertible. 52,9xx orig miles, bone stock, 289 automatic (#'s matching), orig black top with folding glass rear window, underhood completely detailed.

My daily driver is an 06 F-150 XLT supercab with the 5.4L V8. Love my truck!! When my wife gets tired of her 04 RAV4, we're gonna be looking at late model Mustang GT V8 convertibles.

My favorite is 1967-68 ,I may be biased on that one.The blue fastback in my avatar is mine ,have owned it since I was 13!! if you cut me I bleed ford blue.I love the new body style stang's!!!!

I do also like mustang but suddenly don't have even one. But I'm still hoping that before this year end I already have one.. :)
.

Nice. My local dealer had one of those for about a year and half. Some day I gonna wish I had bought it.

i am still debating if to buy a new one or buy a 09kr.i like the idea of having one for each year
