I tried uttg

Jon, you will love C4. It really is awesome

If Ultima can somehow re-formulate UTTG to have better darkening ability, it would be the best product since sliced bread!

Mark, the C4 looked almost just like UTTG on the rear of my Sky but just the tiniest bit less dark. Really you probably couldn't tell the difference if you were anyone else.

As far as UTTG not being dark enough I don't understand. Did you see the before and afters on the rear view mirrors of the PT and Z4 from those last two dodo wash reviews?

I haven't posted the pics but on my blue Saturn the C4 was incredible! Saved my green Saturn as well, but that is not the average vehicle.

I love them both and neither can be matched for it's application and purpose IMO but for most trim I like UTTG. The price is a huge factor...

60$ for less than an ounce compared to thirty something dollars for 12 oz.

Now to save an extremely faded trim or on an upsell for a paying customer you should have that C4 around but most people are going to prefer paying for UTTG and be extremely grateful you used it.

I should add I saw a highlander Tad did that had new trim where he used C4 and it looked spectacular.

Also I know my good friend Jim favors it for new trim as well.

For me I just don't see it (at that price) on new trim for most people.

How did it not look as good?

Not saying it looked bad! Just saying for the price difference it should look at least just as good. I'll concede the look is probably a wash on almost any new trim although they do look a bit different.

Just looked and it looks great. However, I don't consider that trim too faded. I've used other products that darken the finish better(CG G6, PBTR) but don't last nearly as long as UTTG. Point being, if UTTG could be used to restore badly faded trim, it would be the best product for it's specific purpose to EVER come out to this point.

Right, so like I said for extremely faded trim (specific purpose) C4 is the best while for all others I select UTTG (best product for it's specific purpose) :)

Jay said he was looking for a great product for dark grey trim which I believe is UTTG. Convincing people to spend 30+ dollars for 12 oz. is hard enough. Convincing them to spend trim restoration money (almost 60$ per 0.85 oz.) on already dark trim I won't try to do.

You do make a good point in that UTTG is not marketed as a trim restorer(i tend to forget that) like C4, yet still doing a great job on everything except the most severly faded trim.

I used UTTG on the trim of my Corvette. I have to say it is fantastic. I am definitely happy I bought it.

I just used UTTG on a Jeep vinyl top yesterday and the customer was blown away! It is one of my favorite products!

I've used UTTG for several months now. Gotta say Corey is spot on with how great this stuff is. Try his under-the-hood method for a sparkling engine compartment. :dblthumb2:
