Thanks for all the kind words! you guys put a big smile in mine and my wife's face.
As for the website, thanks for the feedback. I gotto go back and proof read it once again since at least one of you caught an error. The gallery, i just got lazy at the end, i have to redo it and organize it to have a better flow.
I feel my prices are right where they should be for my area. I did some research before setting prices. For now, dealers have kept me busy and i tend to do one or two things extra for no charge to ensure they'll think of me and not the other guys when they need some cars done.
We are convinced this is a blessing in disguise and are moving forward with that in mind.
Today was a rainy day so i got in my truck with all my stuff and visited dealers nearby. Knocked on doors, shook some hands, showed them my handy dandy new website and BS'ed with them a bit. A couple said they would give me a shot. I went to a couple of title loan places and offered my services for their repo cars as they will most likely get more $ at the auction if they are clean and shiny.
I talked to a couple of other business owners i know and BS'ed with them as well.
All in all, a pretty awesome day. I only made $20 for buffing out some headlights in the rain but i planted some seeds.
As for the nice comments about coming home and making a plan right away...I actually have been dealing with anxiety issues the last few months (taking meds and going to therapy) so the plan was so i can put in my pocket and read when i start to freak the hell out. My wife and I are pretty confident in my income earning potential and we have a decent savings but i still have episodes when i feel the world is coming to an end for me.
aaannnyyyways...
