I'm doing this for REAL

Thanks for all the kind words! you guys put a big smile in mine and my wife's face.
As for the website, thanks for the feedback. I gotto go back and proof read it once again since at least one of you caught an error. The gallery, i just got lazy at the end, i have to redo it and organize it to have a better flow.
I feel my prices are right where they should be for my area. I did some research before setting prices. For now, dealers have kept me busy and i tend to do one or two things extra for no charge to ensure they'll think of me and not the other guys when they need some cars done.
We are convinced this is a blessing in disguise and are moving forward with that in mind.
Today was a rainy day so i got in my truck with all my stuff and visited dealers nearby. Knocked on doors, shook some hands, showed them my handy dandy new website and BS'ed with them a bit. A couple said they would give me a shot. I went to a couple of title loan places and offered my services for their repo cars as they will most likely get more $ at the auction if they are clean and shiny.
I talked to a couple of other business owners i know and BS'ed with them as well.
All in all, a pretty awesome day. I only made $20 for buffing out some headlights in the rain but i planted some seeds.
As for the nice comments about coming home and making a plan right away...I actually have been dealing with anxiety issues the last few months (taking meds and going to therapy) so the plan was so i can put in my pocket and read when i start to freak the hell out. My wife and I are pretty confident in my income earning potential and we have a decent savings but i still have episodes when i feel the world is coming to an end for me.
aaannnyyyways...
thanks for all the kind words, i am very thankful for this resource.

You CAN do this and anything you put your mind to. Keep up the hard work and stay optimistic. You can do this!

Yeah man, your mindset is in a great place and you are doing a fantastic job at going down the right track! Keep up the good work, that takes balls to keep it together and not decide to shut down and live off savings...

Well, I'm somewhat sorry for what happened, but really it's for the best and was meant to be. I see you have a survivor attitude, that's great! The website is awesome, clean, simple, etc.! I will be praying for you tonight at church brother.

Also, if you are licensed and all that, I wouldn't do it "tax free" as you mentioned, make whatever you do legit and see where it takes you! God bless.

Two old sayings come to mind, "Only the paranoid survive." and "Stay the course" - had these in my head for 25 years or so.

This book also comes to mind, "Lincoln on Leadership: Executive Strategies for Tough Times". I'll recommend you read it and it is my hope that it puts some positive context to your situation and support for your anxiety.

Lastly, while I don't know you I believe what you are doing is indeed going to pay long-term dividends; and that there are moments where you simply feel the pressure of owning your own business, owning your own destiny. Try reaching our to your towns local Chamber of Commerce and strike up some conversations there. I am sure with some effort you will make some new friends.

You are in a period of your life where certain things that are innate in your psyche are in conflict with your transformation to self-employment. Use this time to reprogram your mind to see every challenge as an opportunity. It's extremely easy to complain and report a problem; but solving those problems consistently day-in and day-out is what make a person of good character. Stay the course, best of luck and give your wife a hug for her support and understanding. :-)

i hope everything turns out good for you and your family. i like your website looks really good!
