In-Out-Burger....

We also just had a Culvers open up here last week at the same time 5 guys opened, tried them last night and all I can say is Culvers burgers are freakin awesome.

Red Robin
Fuddruckers
Five Guys

All these places have pretty good burgers. I'd like to try your place.

Four by (4X) Animal Style w/well done Fries. Use to not be on the menu, but all In N Outs would make it.

Red Robin is also a sitdown. Headed over to In-n-Out now, thanks for the craving.

The problem with Red Robin is that the patty is like 1/16 of a pound, if that. The toppings are great, but being a man I need some meat with my burgers. I've tried both of these fast food burgers and 5 Guys and In-N-Out are head and shoulders above the rest.

If anybody ever makes it to bloomington, IL, I will buy you a burger from meatheads. They are a half pound of heaven.

I've lived in California my whole life and never been to in and out. whats good there? What should i order?

Double Double w/ grilled onions, fries well-done and a chocolate shake :dblthumb2:

Or, it your real hungry, order a 4x4 :hungry:

5 guys is too greasy and the red robin here can't cook a burger....My husbands favorite is chilis fwiw

The thread was started with the proposition that In-n-Out had the "best burgers". It did not say "best drive in burgers".

I agree that Red Robin blows away In-n-Out and other drive ins, with the exception of those local family owned drive ins that make hand crafted burgers. Where I live there is a "drive in" called Chicago Willy's. It is not a chain and is family owned. The burgers, fries and shakes (hand made) are incredible, as is the service from the servers.

We also have some other local burger places that are in a class above places like In-n-Out. Maybe the thread should ask what the best "chain drive in" burgers are. The local one or two location burger joints are going to serve a better fare in most cases.

Chilis...ewww...

The best burger is obviously when you make it yourself. However if you have to go somewhere most places suck.

Wendy's? Meh.
McDonald's? Ugh.
Burger King? God what do they put in the patties that make it sweet tasting and not beefy?
Chilis? Usually awful service + awful food.
Ruby Tuesday's? Get out of here, crap.
fuddruckers? You're going to make me stand in line like a cafeteria to get cafeteria like quality food at premium price? no thanks.

It really is hard to find a good burger joint here in NC that's near where I LIVE at a great price. Truly sad we don't have a In and Out and the only thing that's good at a fast food joint is Cook Out, but that's usually a hit and miss.

just tried five guys for the first time and wasn't impressed, especially considering the $17 price tag (they don't offer combos which would bring the price down a little) for 2 cheeseburgers, 1 regular french fries, and 2 regular drinks. other than offering more toppings on the burgers and fries than in-n-out, in-n-out has a way better tasting burger and not to mention their prices have been fair compared to most places. doubt i'll go to five guys again, just wanted to experience it...

IMO the thread wasn't about burgers, rather, what's on the menu...hint...hint...hint.

I've seen IOB mentioned on another site.

What's on your menu?
