Incredibly Cheap Finds

Pepboys is running the deal again where you buy car wash soap, and get a free 5 gal bucket. Checked 2 different stores and both do it.

If you go to Kmart make sure you scan everything. My store had very little with tags on it, but most everything was on sale, mostly 40-50% off, even stuff with tags wasn't always correct. All this was $29.
Quick Wax $4
Megs Headlight $6
Mlack Magick Tire $2
Lexol Kit $5
Loxol Cleaner $2.50
Clay Kit $8

No experience with those, if you get it, let us know!

Since it is apparently "wrong" to link to other sites. Go to Walmart.com, search for Meguiars Supreme Shine. 20 microfibers for $29. These aren`t the "plushest" towels around. But they work awesome for removing polish/wax/sealant. Free ship to store, or to home if you buy 40, and $1.45 ea.

They are really pretty good for less then a $ each.
Better & heaver then some I paid much more for.
Tags are stitched on .
I'm using them for interiors, they are soft enough for polish removal if it wasn't for the tags.

Bob :)

Also check out the Chemical Guys version of the Gold Plush JR. I've got both and they're similar. The Gold Plush JR, 16x16 is a better towel, but costlier. I don't mind using either. Amazon has them on Subscribe and save for betweel $18-20 for a dozen. Good deal to me.

I got my $0.35 drying towels today. First, they passed the "CD scratch test" but I don't put much faith in that.

They are 32x20, which is an odd size to me. They only hold 3x the weight and my Gold Plush 16x24's hold equal or maybe just a touch more water. Definitely a higher ratio. I'd buy for less than $5 again, but probably not for any more.

Just fyi...

O'Reilly near me has Back to Black (original) and Zymol cleaner wax on close-out. They also had the Megs headlight, and a few other odd products available. None at great prices, I think the B2B was $4, zymol was like $9, crazy... Headlight kit was $15 I think. Just a heads up

Is it the same Meg's headlight kit I got for $6 posted above?

Looks about the same. I don't have a k mart within 150 miles though. I also have a dozen or so of those 3m kits when they went on sale a year or so ago on amazon. I know oreilly drops the price sometimes is why I mentioned it!

Actually on second thought I remember it said "featuring plast x" and I remember wondering what the drill pad looked like. Maybe a different version? Who knows

I've gone that route and will not ever do it again. Now if you have wheels that aren't very "sensitive", they're fine for wheels, door jams, trunk jams, perhaps even some interior parts, but, I wouldn't.
I learned my lesson trying to clean the interior glass on my car. Those things left a film on the glass that I've yet to get off.... truth be told, I'm so aggravated with myself I've only tried one other time and it's a total PITA to get to my rear windshield not to mention the front (interior of course).

So its good for applying liquid sealants / waxes to paint and maybe some trim work like back-to-black on plastic trim things like that without falling apart? Maybe it was just the rough texture of the tire that caused it to start to fail

I also saw these on ebay

Ecolab Car Wax Applicator Pads Set of 3 | eBay

its a 3 pack and still cheap, but if they are of higher quality then may as well elect for those - What is someone gonna do with 12 pads anyway ya know lol

It's alright for applying sealants and waxes but those will still go through and some will get on your hands. As for doing regular plastic trim it's alright they still don't last terribly long. But since I got 12 for only $1 I see them as use once or twice then toss. I have tried to get them to last longer but the foam does start to fall apart more and more.

I haven't responded to that post because I haven't used them, but this seems as good a time as any to say "You get what you pay for." Sales/deals/etc are good, but if something is selling at regular price for that cheap, there's a reason.

As for your window, have you tried Stoner's window cleaning tool? I have a 14 Mustang, and I seriously can barely reach the bottom of the back window, and I'm a tall guy! I've been looking to get a 2nd one so I don't have to switch bonnets while the cleaner is drying on. A few people have posted them on clearance at Target and Advance Auto. I don't know how I missed it; I checked for it every time I went to either store, then yesterday I went to 2 of each and they were just gone.

I bought one but haven't used it yet. Sounds like a good project for this weekend since the weather will be nice :)

I went back to Target tonight and found it! It was on an end cap on the next isle down from the car stuff, with a bunch of other clearance stuff.

Other people got it for cheaper, but I'm not gonna sit on it and lose the deal altogether.

I picked up 5 of these :D
Would have left with 8, but one of those 3 laying down in the background was leaking and I don't know which.

Love the rain x for side and back windows. If you're cleaning them, might as well repel at the same time. Ever since I found aquapel I haven't looked back.

Found this tonight. 18 for $10.99. Pretty sweet deal to me. Almost out though! View attachment 25752

Ha! Happy saint paddys day folks!

I never did find a Big Lots with the aquapels. I'd like to try them.

Lol what a deal! I'm having rum myself, which I haven't had in ages. It tastes like bad decisions.

I see that zymol all around me. ... is it good?
