Incredibly Cheap Finds

All the Lowe's anywhere close to me are all out of those plastic boxes and cannot get them shipped either!!!!

My Big Lots doesn't carry squat that I would use. Most of it is some off-brand type stuff, and what's there that has a name to it is Armor-
All and I'm not touching that stuff.

I mean when you can buy a car detailing product in a drug store, how good can it be??!!

I use Armor all for the wheel wheels

Yup, I use their tire dressing. My brother got me onto it, it's actually really nice. And I'm not using sub-par products.

If there's one thing I've learned researching this stuff, it's that brand doesn't matter nearly as much as you might think. Quality tends to vary from product to product.

I agree. I've had success using armor all/ water on wheel wells. 2:1 ratio works well for me

The thing is all dressings seem to disappear pretty quickly. Why pay more for a "quality" dressing that will last equally as long.

in a pinch, using either AA tire foam or no touch tire foam works perfectly fine. as long as the wheel wells stay nice and dark till the next wash that's all that matters because you're going to scrub them again anyway. since it's basically throw away product, there's really no need to use an expensive dressing there and personally just about any water based dressing works well for me...

I didn't look here to if it was mentioned but Advance auto have the Buy one get one for $9 and get a free 5 gallon bucket deal until the 22nd. So, that's $14 saved right there.

I had never heard of using tire shine in the wheel wells until you guys started talking about it here. I'm gonna have to give that a try!

^ yep on Visitors post
Your signature has made me very curious, so I finally looked it up. That is really sad.

Oh yeah. 2 of these at Canadian Tire for $0.20 or a box of 48 for $2.17 after tax.

BEAST FIND!!!

Advance Auto Parts has the Turtle Wax Rinseless wash for 6.99 a bottle on sale. The salesman said he believes it will no longer be in stock either.

It is not coming back! But, that's an awful price to be honest. My walmart has it for $5.50ish and I remember getting it from AA for 2/7.99

I wish they would "clearance" an item at a lower cost than it actually sold for.

If it sits on your shelves long enough, it'll be a nickel though.

Yes, you are correct. The sales clerk also told me that Advance will not be stocking the Turtle Wax Rinse Free Wash & Wax in the future due to slow sales. The bottles were discounted here to $4.75 a bottle

Slow sales, hmmm, no marketing! They should've sent me around the country promoting it, LOL! Grass roots style of selling. TW is not too far from me, I need to find out about this. Although DG's rinsless is my favorite I could sell this, too bad they put nothing behind it:-(

They're also dumping Meg's wash anywhere

I just don't think the public is ready for it. Whenever I look for it in the store the employees don't even know what it is.

Yes I agree, the Rinseless and Waterless products do not sell on the retail market due to the public not knowing what it is or how it works. I also agree that the employees are also not familiar with the products. The Meguiars Wash and Wax Anywhere is also on clearance here for $8.85 and I have seen some bottles as low as $7.35. Some of the Griots products are also on clearance. All the Griots products have thick dust on the bottles from being in stock too long. In some stores the Griots Speed Shine is now green instead of blue. Maybe due to age?

The 35oz Griots Spray on Car Wash has been discounted here at Advance Auto for $9.95 each with the sprayer if you purchase two bottles. These bottles will probably sell for less at a later date if the Griots products do not sell, which they don't, since most are covered with thick dust

A lot of the GG products they flat out dropped and others they switched to 22 oz for maybe a dollar or two less. I hate the sprayers. They're the same as my wife's windex bottle.

Then they picked up some more random things like glass sealant. I just don't see that selling otc. Fine with me, that's when I get my GG products; when AA deems them unsellable

Yeah definitely a good find, I don't think I'll need any for a while. Haha.
