Incredibly Cheap Finds

303's parent company, Gold Eagle, is a solid outfit and they do their homework before they release anything, especially something like this and the info in that short email tells you as much!

I remember back in the days watching the ZMax infomercial and buying into the hype... I bought it a few times and was excited, but I can't say I noticed any difference in anything.

I don't know about Techron since I don't pump Chevron.. But for the past 10yrs. or so I've religiously pumped Shell Super + and was convinced it was the best gas available until about 3 months ago when my tank was desperately low and I didn't want to make the nearly 2 mile drive with almost no gas in the tank and had to settle for Unocal 76..

I pumped a full tank of their 91 octane premium and within that 1st tank I noticed a big difference in the way my car starts up when completely cold. I've had a weak fuel pump for a long time and it had been gradually getting worse and worse.. It got so bad that on the coldest mornings I'd have to crank my ignition 4-5 times before the it started. By the end of 2 full tanks of switching to 76, it now starts up on the 1st crank and hasn't failed for over 2 months now. What else could it be but the different gas?

All I know for sure is I've ditched the Shell Super + Nitrogen hype.. It almost feels like a case of the best marketing = the worst quality. I wouldn't be surprised.

They don’t have to prove anything to sell “fuel injector cleaner”

It’s like detailing products. You put it to market with your name on it give out a dozen bottles people claim it’s good and then it’s all the sudden reputable

Yes I have no doubt it can do some injector clean up on a GDI engine. But the design of a GDI engine and the issues that plague the design has to do with carbon on the backside of the valves and lower stems. On GDI the injector sprays fuel “directly” hence the name GDI into the combustion chamber not past the valve like standard port fuel injection

I have nothing against gold eagle or 303 or fuel injector cleaners just telling you that it will not tackle the main problem of GDI carbon buildup

The professional kits come with intake applied cleaner and a pour in bottle. The gold eagle is just missing the main step

I have the 2nd bottle of 104+ PRO in my tank right now. I use fuelly to monitor my mileage so we'll see how it goes there but with the weather changing so much that's a huge variable. My wife has a bottle in her tank right now and a 2nd bottle is waiting for her next tank, which I recently bought. Her car has 173K on it and used to have Chevron Techron poured in about every 10K but that was 1 bottle. The directions here say back to back tanks each get a bottle, we'll see how it goes.

Not comparing apples and oranges here but they also make Sta-bil and I've never heard anything negative about it, have a little faith here, that's all I'm saying.

It has a logo on the back that says something to the effect it can be used on all gas engines, can't remember the exact wording, sorry.

Thanks for that!

Do you know if they are using PIB, PIBA or PEA? Or some thing completely different ? Any testing to show more effective than PEA?

From the product description ---> ....its proprietary soil release/antistatic agent actually helps repel future soils.....

This blurb tells me it leaves something behind on the towels so that it "repels". And I thought the static electricity was a good thing in MF towels - not that it matters much when wet.

Yes, we want static in our towels . The detergent has a fabric softener in it. I use it for greasy clothing though, and it was free.

for those of you who can't afford the smaller pads or can't find the pads you like that are offered in smaller sizes, check this out...
