Happened to be in Wal-Mart tonight and saw they had two boxes of the AG HD wax for $34.88 and like 9 of the palm applicators for around $7 apiece. Didn't have enough money on me to get it tonight so I had to pass it up. Thought about getting it next time I'm in there. Anybody tried the HD wax? Thoughts on it? :Picture:

I should have some pics of it on a silver Range Rover (DD status) either Friday or Saturday. I might be able to get the Lexus in if he wants it done this weekend which will also be getting a coat of Collinite 845 and AGHD.

Found the HD wax and applicators at my local walmart today and picked up one of each and will hopefully try out this weekend.

Sounds good. Make sure you do a product review - I'm curious about this stuff. Ease of application and removal, slickness, beading, gloss, trim-staining status, that sort of thing. I don't need this stuff, but I'm a sucker for a good wax! :awesome: Just ordered the 8 oz. Fuzion, which should arrive Friday. Very much looking forward to trying that out and giving a review! :righton:

I already have a few pics for a review, but none on a vehicle yet lol

The Fuzion should keep you tight for awhile though.

How many ounces is that HD wax?

Also wondering if this stuff dusts at all.

I think like 5.3oz? It's 150g.

OK. According to the Google calculator/unit converter:

150 grams = 5.29109429 ounces

That's about an ounce less than a jar of P21S, which is 6.2 ounces.

the walmart in south jersey only had the red hand applicators. might be a good sign to come though. i'll keep checking.

Hey, Killr.....I checked our local Wal-Mart....and guess what? They have the AG 2 boxes....so I had to get one.....due to the fact that I always check for your postings and I know that you really know your detailing and products...so, I hope its a winner....see ya

How come it seems like everybody has good finds in their respective areas except me? :awman:
I've checked my local Walmart (Merrillville,IN) twice and still nothing so you're not alone.
There isn't really anywhere in my area to get good waxes - Just Autozone & Track Auto.
There used to be a place called Murray's Auto Supply who sold stuff like Mother's California Gold Paste Wax (without cleaners) Mothers Synwax 3M Perfect It Show Car Wax paste and some other decent waxes sealants and polishes. Unfortunately they got bougt out by a bunch of dweebs and now they're called O'Reily's Auto Supply and they seel the same stuff as Autozone :(

Autoglym HD is very highly regarded, and has great durability and lends itself to sharp reflections due to the fact that it is a hybrid sealant/wax.

Awesome find, you got that for a steal!
<sarcasm>It's a shame that you can buy this highly regarded wax with a proven track record at Wal-Mart now for a price that is affordable.

In a few months, AGHD will be the scum of the wax world because it has no durability, and doesn't have any reflections. This is of course just due to the fact that Joe Consumer can now easily buy it, so it must not be as good as anything you can buy online.</sarcasm>

I look forward to picking up some and trying it as soon as I find it. :hungry:

I thank you for the kind comments, but please note I havent tried the product nor endorse it. I grabbed them because at that price its worth trying especially after seeing another vendor selling them between 69.00 and 129.00 dollars.

Haha, yeah this stuff is rubbish. All those detailing enthusiasts across the pond have no clue what a good wax is it seems.*

It has a great reputation overseas though, I think people will be pleasantly surprised! Most users of it find that it rivals the durability of Collinite 915.

Currently testing on my hood because the rest of the car received Meg's Gold Class Carnauba Plus Premium paste wax for testing. Car is daily driven with nasty weather lately. One way trip to work is 150 miles, not 10 or 20. So if it's on the road, it's on my car! If I have time this weekend I plan to strip the car and start with a fresh coat of AutoGlym for a true review of the product.

Someone mentioned smell? Terrible! Smells a little like shoe polish. So if you're used to something with a somewhat pleasant scent, this will be a change! Easy on, easy off, no dust from my application. Can't say how it will be when coating an entire car.

Here's a couple quick cell phone pics of the contents:
