can any1 recommend a pleasnt smelling interior dressing/cleaner. one that can also be diluted to desired finished look and isnt very oily. really want something that doesnt take away from the natural look of the interior materials

I personally use a leather protectant.... I like poorboys leather stuff, it gives a slight shine but not too much on my 04 accord interior, I use it on dash and everything

I've heard really good things about Meguiar's Hyper Dressing. Comes in gallon jugs and you can dilute up to 4:1 and get a matte finish or go 1:1 and get a glossy finish. It's water based as well.

1Z cockpit if your looking for that new look.

The only dilutable dressings that I can think of right now is Megs Hyper Dressing and Megs water based dressing. I dont use Megs HD for interior use thought. Instead you should look for something that contains UVA/UVB blockers to prevent fading like Optimum Protectant Plus, PoorBoys Natural look and Megs Natural Shine.

DP Total Interior Protectant has a banana smell and finishes very nice. A tiny bit glossy, but not in your face, more like restoring the original color of whatever it protects. Very good product.

Agreed, but gloss can be controlled by how much you apply. I've also used it on tires with good results when looking for an ultra low-gloss dressing.

Griot Interior Cleaner works great. DP Interior dressing looks great and smells good as well

I like the DP cleaner and the protectant. I also use the Pinnacle Leather cleaner and conditioner on my seats. Now on BOGO!!

Another vote for the DP interior protectant. Love the smell and the look it gives to the interior.

Great stuff for monthly cleanings...I still use Leatherique 1-2x a year though. Im the MAN

I believe 1Z Premium is the most matte finish dressing available, and it is also non-slick so you can use it on steering wheels, etc. It is stronger cleaning than Meg's Quick Interior. Megs also leaves more shine and slickness. 1Z smells much nicer too, IMO.

I have used DP cleaner and protectant with good results, but the protectant will shine if not wiped off quick. It is also somewhat sticky. I'm not sure if the DP cleaner offers any UV protection. If it does, it would be the way to go since it is a better price.

Other than that, just use Woolite 10:1 undressed.

Also give my vote to DP. Great smell and not all that oily.

+1

1Z Prem has a pretty good cleaning ability where the Megs stuff is more for light dust. I do like both very much and usually use 1Z for the majority of the interior and the Megs for the nav, radio, speedo displays.

I think they both smell great too!

For I dilutable dressing, Megs "Water Based Dressing" works well and smells very good, but I prefer the natural look of the 1Z and Quick Interior Detailer as do most owners.

Normal Look -- Einszett Cockpit Premium, Einszett Cockpit Classic, Poorboys Natural Look
(none need to be diluted)
