Hey guys I have a brand new BMW m3 coupe just a few weeks old... What is the best leather conditioner you guys can recommend. I would prefer one that doesn't have any type of smells, I want to keep the new car smell.
Best regards

Check out the Wolfgang Leather Care Cockpit Kit. Very nice and easy to use products. As far as the odor goes, it does have a scent, but not overwhelming or abrasive.

Anything you would recommend over the counter?

u can find lexal over the counter at auto parts stores.

Ultima Interior Guard Plus or L1 for protecting finished leather

UIGP offers better protection from liquid, sweat, etc.

L1 is just the very slightest bit darker (only visible if you use them right next to each other on the same seat).

L1 claims to protect the leather from dye transfer (if you have a lighter color leather)

Connelleys Hyde Food

This does have a nice leathery scent ^ but it wears off in a couple of days

Love this stuff.

Perfect products! I use the leatheriqe in my Z3 and the Connelleys in my Rover! both great products that I have sed... As for the others I have used Lexol in my Vette but honestly I did not like it as much as the above products... It does work well in my wife's Saturn

Never used the L1 or the WG stuff Would love to though!

What leather components (such as: seating areas) in your vehicle are wanting to condition? If these leather components are "protected leather" they do not need conditioning---a maintenance schedule of: proper cleaning followed by a protectant should/will suffice, IMO.

Some "smells" (usually: fragrances) associated with leather care products are due to the 'oils/essences' that make-up these fragrances. These also, IMO, are not necessarily good or intended for the correct maintenance of protected leather. Besides that---some people are allergic to certain fragrance "smells". :)

Good to start your leather maintenance routine when the vehicle is new!

Leather Masters protection Cream - Matte Finish

Prima Nourish - Sheen Finish

Both of these can be used on all types of leather. You never know what kind of leather you're going to run into.

I don't think anything is going to actually help if you have coated leather

It does make it look nice though

Thats why I consider Ultima IGP and L1 to be tops for this. It protects the coating so the coating can protect the leather for many moons. Well, at least I believe that. Im the MAN

Makes sense to me. :props:

@Funx725.... Well the car isn't driven very often only on the best of days so I don't need anything too harsh just something to condition the leather keep It looking brand new.FYI the leather color is fox red so idk if that might make you recommend something else. Anyway thank you everyone for your advice I really appreciate it. Also the only leather that BMW coats are there convertibles....I think; could be wrong though so don't quote me on it.
Best regards

I have used the Meguiar's leather products for years with good results. Good for OTC.

The thing you have to watch out for with BMW is the sides of the seats are generally vinyl as is the back (they say it is because it makes those areas last longer and they are more durable) Even the drop tops are not always "coated" it depends on the seat style... Like my Z3 for example Mine is a 2001 2.5i, it has the sport seats but they aren't the sports you see in the MZ3 these are the "designer sports" they are not coated they are a "force dyed and heat stamped" leather (they have a speckled pattern in some of the areas) when the MZ3 seats are a "painted" or "coated" leather unless they are a single solid color then they are force dyed... My buddy has a 95ish 525i and he has a "split" leather in his car meaning that the seating surface is painted/coated and the rest is force dyed... BMW is a challenge so what I use for most customers cars is the Megs Aloe Care... I love Leatherique and Connlleys too and use them on the higher end details and my own car...

Hope this helps a bit...

Megs aloe care. Is that a product that is sold over the counter or something I get off the web. Also I was at my local store today and I saw the Zymol leather conditioner it's in a small bottle any reviews on that. Best regards

I have seen Megs Aloe Care in a few parts stores but not sure if it is anywhere else... I get it from the Geek...

I have no experience with Zymol LC sorry... I was involved in a Vette club and the only products they used were Zymol so there is a possibility it is good stuff but I am not sure personally...
