Introducing the DP Turbo Car Dryer! 6.5 Peak Horsepower Blower for Drying Your Car!

Haven't tried using the blower inside of the garage yet - which might be more trouble than it's worth. IDK but it seems more of an outside thing to me.

I ordered one of these. I already have the hand held master blaster mini. Im hoping this will blow harder cause its just enough for seams and stuff.

I got mine today via UPS.

Feel like it is very well made, comes with 2 attachments. I used the small funnel type shown in Mikes video.

The other attachment I am not sure what situation you would use it in, it seems like it would blow the ground too much, but I may be wrong.

I have not used it on the car, but had to try it on the shower door with some water. It really has some strength to move water. On a coated or well protected car, this will have no problems drying it off 95%+ I feel.

I will have a write up with videos hopefully this weekend.

Looks cool but I have a cordless makita leaf blower that I use to dry my truck. It does a good job on one full battery. I'm sure this dryer has more power than the leaf blower but I already own the makita, double duty if you will.

Works great - gets 90% of all the water off. I'm pleased but have no basis of comparison since I've never owned a master blaster.

Would one of you guys please explain why this "Car Dryer"
would not be able to remove 100% of the water from a vehicle?

TIA.

I do not doubt you could get 100%, but for times sake and potentially small water spots

The water as it blows out sometimes reduces to very very small droplets (if that makes sense)

I am going to test it tommorow on the car probably :xyxthumbs:

IMO:
Water-spots are always a bad thing, size notwithstanding.

And a wee bit more blowing-time can't be spared:
So that they could be completely avoided...

looking forward to your videos. you mentioned videos of mike using this tool, any links to them ? been keeping an eye on my classic car website and have not seen the correct episode yet.

The DP Turbo Dryer looks pretty stout. From the outside, the body looks almost identical to the core of my US-made, 6.5 hp Shop•Vac. :)

I bought this product right away and I love it.

I stopped using my Master Blaster for 3 reasons.
1 - The size just made it clumsy and too much work
2- The power demand requiring me to make sure nobody else was on the same breaker when in use
3- Heated air was actually aiding water spots drying up on the car on hot summer days when in use

I recently switched over the metro sidekick and have been very happy with that. It made me realize that the Master Blaster was just over the top. The power is awesome but honestly not required. Also the ease of use.

The best way to summarize the DP dryer is to consider it a hybrid of the two metro units. Big power but also ease of use.

Was it just me or did it cross anyone elses mind that 300+ dollars for a device to dry off your car is just ridiculous ?

So all in all I think the DP unit is really the way to go. Power, ease of use and price are all great. I have no regrets.

Thats because it is ! Shop Vac instruction manual included in the box. :) I was happy to see that upon unboxing.

You are not missing out, this is comparable to the performance. But it blows (no pun intended) away the Master Blaster in ease of use and price.

I've used it in the garage without any issues. Granted if you point it at a shelf full of towels then it will blow them all over the place, but so long as you keep it pointed at the car you'll be fine.

When i first got the Master Blaster I used it in the garage and when I went to move the unit around while still on, i blew out the grease in the track of the garage door ALL OVER MY FRESHLY WASHED CAR !!! lol

Thanks for the review. My Ridgid 5 hp vac blow function is no match for the MB so would really like to see a side by side with a 6.5 rated shop vac motor.

From what I have been reading on the reviews thus far, mg6045 has brought up points that encourage me to purchase the DP Turbo Car Dryer:xyxthumbs:

My Metro Master Blaster will/should be for sale!

I would rate this blower a : BUY

Based on:Price, awesome build quality, warranty, and power to dry
