The bar works great on planar surfaces. For intricate areas clay is the way to go IMO!y to go i

I dont understand why it would be better to clay and then use ironX. Wouldnt it be better if you used ironX to remove the iron deposits and then clay because wouldnt your clay last much longer and wouldnt there be less of a chance for marring?

If you clayed first your clay bar would still pick up all of the iron that sits above the surface contaminating your clay bar and increasing the chances of marring the paint?

And as Mark said, I would love to see something that would love to see something to help eliminate everything else making claying very minimal.

I recommend washing first, then iron-x, then clay, then a final wash and dry. This takes care of getting rid of the easiest stuff early on, and finishes off by getting rid of anything knocked loose during the decontamination process.

Jon, that was exactly my question when this product was announced. Dwayne @ AG confirmed that in his testing, using IronX before claying did in fact make the clay last a lot longer. :dblthumb2:

IXSG will remove irons as well, but its little weaker than ironX

After washing the car with a regular car wash, do you need to dry the car before spraying on IronX? Also, after spraying on IronX, do you have to rub it with a wash media for even coverage?
 
Can you use the IronX soap gel as a standalone wash? Or should you do a regular wash first, then use the soap gel?

I find using Iron X before claying helps a lot with claying the car. Especially when there are some major contaminates in the paint. It seems to have gotten rid of claying the panel over and over again to remove all the embedded particulates.

Highly recommend IronX before claying ANY colour car.

Good to know. Claying is such a time killer. We all know time is money. I don't mind claying but kneading the clay every 2 seconds gets irritating. IronX is on my list.

No, but it will probably not work as well since the water will be diluting it and it might not bond with certain iron particles due to the water obstructing it.

I just picked up the liter bottle of IronX. I cant wait to try it and Ill try to do a review...

Maybe tape off half the hood. Ironx half and then clay with a new piece of clay and the other half use new clay and just use clay alone. Ill take pics of the contaminants on the clay. Ill try to use the same amound to passes w/ the clay as well.

Then apply Iron X over the clay only part and see what the clay couldnt remove!

yes ofcourse , the SG is very good car shampoo, no need water diluting! ,only rinse the car before like normally do. see short video in my site how economic wash it can be :

some detailers spray it all over, if you want to do it the eco way you can spray some and rub all over with damp sponge mitt
