But works like "The Bomb" as well, for stripping ANY wax/polish residue off a vehicle.
I have been using OPC to strip panels on vehicles before applying CQuartz and had very good luck doing so.
I had a remote detail today and only had my AutoGeek detail bag with me to apply CQuartz to a customers vehicle that I polished out a month back.
I keep the CQuartz kit that was previously purchased from another vendor, all together in this bag.The kit comes with all the essentials,CQuartz,IronX,IronX Soap Gel,So2Pure,ReLoad. (A kit that AG should offer.)
Previously (a little over a month ago)I had applied a coat of wax (Americana) to a customers vehicle but the customer now wanted CQuartz. So I used my Flex PE14-2-150 with a black pad and some Menzerna Super Finish to clean the paint and help strip the wax. I didn't have any OPC with me but did have IronX Soap Gel. So I asked the customer to put a few gallons of hot water in one of my buckets and proceeded to apply IronX with a Microfiber applicator pad,and wiped down a few sections at a time and rinse the vehicle with a hose as I proceeded to go around the entire vehicle.
When I was completely finished I rinsed the car one final time before starting the application of the CQuartz.
All I can say is: Man WOW.
There was absolutely No beading left anywhere on the paint what so ever, none. The water seemed to just cling on the horizontal and slowly recede down the vertical surfaces.
CarPro does NOT recommend the use of IronX Soap Gel for any other purposes other than vehicles only but if you need to prep your paint for a LSP/CQuartz,this product does the job very well.Just be sure to rinse thoroughly.
Don't get me wrong as I love OPC for a variety of cleaning purposes but boy was I impressed with the paint cleaning power on the IronX Soap Gel.
Just thought I would share.:xyxthumbs:
