I've had some Meguiars clay for a while, probably 2+ years. One bar is sealed in a plastic baggie and the other is still in the manufacturers packaging. Are they still usable?

Thanks

If you can still knead them into shape, I would imagine they're still good. If they crumble when you try to knead them, they're probably too dried out to use.

If they're dried out, you might try to revitalize them with a couple of spritzes of lube, then knead the cr4p out of them. That may bring them back to life. Just a thought. I've never had to try it.

I usually hit mine with a couple of squirts before I put them in a ziplock.

My guess is they are still good as well. I have used "old" clay and it was still pliable and seemed to work fine.

It may be just me, but I replaced my two Mother's clay bars after a year and only a few uses. I stored them in the container so I thought they'd be good. Well...I went to use it and even though I was using a lube, it had a rough/dry/flaky feel to it, so I replaced it with the Meg's Smooth Surface Clay. I guess for peace of mind, just replace it.

If you throw them at the ground...do they bounce? If so, probably no good, ha.
