Is TRIX replacing IronX?

Corey,

You FORCED me to do it! I just ordered the 500ML IronX Eco Refill on BOGO. Excellent timing!!! :props:

Dan.

Be that as it may, but TRIX is $27/liter while IronX is $33/liter. Based on Corey's post, it looks like TRIX is more aggressive and could harm some trim. If it wasn't for that, I'd say TRIX was a more cost-effective product.

Regards,

Dan.

Yes, I was shocked at the price as well being cheaper than IX. I expected it to cost more.

I don't believe it will harm plastic trim pieces as long as it isn't abused and left to dry on there. Only polycarbonate headlights and clear bra type materials are sensitive enough. However, as usual with any new to you material and product combination it is always good to try a small test spot.

A couple things i noticed.
1) TRIX stinks as rotten egg and the nozzle leaks (I couldn't stand the smell in my garage any more so it's sitting outside.) The Nozzle SUCKS A$$.

2) It WILL discolor your caliper if you don't RINSE and AGITATE real well. Learned from my mistake please. My wife's 2012 Subaru caliper look like $hit now.

Good product, but it stinks. Get a Kwazar sprayer. No more smells.

Dan.

Yeah, i am thinking of transferring it to another spray bottle (don't have the kwazar yet) and hope it won't leak. Their sprayer bottle $ucks big time. $27/bottle and they couldn't give you a decent sprayer head? disappointing!

I havn't had a chance to do much testing but I switched my sprayer out for an OPUS one from US Plastic. Item #:66776. It is an all plastic sprayer just like the one that carpro uses but it feels much better and so far no leaks (fingers crossed)

Eraser and Iron X are by far two of my all time favorite products thus far. Can't wait to get my hands on some Wolfs Decon Gel and compare the two though.

we made new design stickers btw, to match all the same graphic design line..

IronX smell has been improved allot as well, all new cherry smell wont be that hard to smell, in any case dont sniff it from the bottle, its not a perfume.. shake it and spray on, on the car it wont smell that hard.

Avi, thanks. Glad you decide to upgrade the sprayer head because the one i have look like i got it at Dollar Store :)

That's cool for iron x but I thought the original eraser sprayer was actually pretty nice. Well it's the chemical that matters anyway.

Sent from my overpriced phone using an app that does stuff

LOL! I got a kick outta that!

Seriously? Did you not rinse very well? I wonder if it was the solvent in TRIX?

I have a bottle of trix, but have not have a car to use it on yet. Suppose to detail someones white accord so i ordered it and the guy backed out.

His car has a whole bunch of small rust(???) specks all over his car (looks like its very common on white cars here in the midwest). It took me hours of claying to get them out of a crv but it was not perfect. Anyone have this experience and used trix? My assumption is that trix should take care of this easily?

Haha i thought i rinsed pretty well but apparently not. Or maybe the subaru is using some cheap a$$ caliper coating. I don't know which one caused the discoloration but it certain look ugly now. Good thing is the wheel hide the caliper well :) But to anyone who's planning on using TRIX on their wheels, please make sure you rinse and agitate really really well.

The new triggers were an excellent improvement Avi! Great to see :dblthumb2:

So true! ROFL!
