it's time to detail the Z06

my '04 torch red z hasn't received much attention since October of last year. just washings, mainly. there's a local show at Moroso tomorrow and i'll be stopping by to hang for a few with the car. not sure which steps i'll take. in '09 i used sip(orange) and nano(white) on the FLEX and it came out beautiful! last year i used nano on a white pad which worked well.

i will post some pics during the process and after it's done.

I'm dragging.

Inside is almost done. I love the interiors of the hardtop/Z06 C5. I'm not going to win as there will be 2000 mile waxers. Just detailing the car 'cause it needs it and going for a few hours. LOL, My Day won't improve with a top three finish at a show and a six inch trophy! I bought this car to D R I V E!

Alrighty, on my way to hooking up the white pad and some nano on the FLEX as the optical clarity is still rather good on the finish. + you're supposed to take the least abrasive method to deepen the gloss. I MAY finish with PO85RD depending how energetic I feel. I'm pretty beat. This is the first time it's received any TLC since October '10. TONS of road tar. The clay bar took a bit off, but trusty old friend 3m general purpose adhesive remover showed it's strong qualities and left the finish spotless. Now to re-wash, dry and buff then finish off with Zaino. I'm going to be one sore dude tomorrow LOL! Here are a few photos during the process...be forewarned, it's filthy in the first few pics!:
