I've tried CG bare Bones, Sonax Trim & Motor Kote, and recently Meg's All Season Dressing.

Trim & Motor Kote is decent, but doesn't turn the wheel wells as black as I'd like.

CG Bare Bones is pretty good. Turns the wheel wells nice and black, but sprays on too thick, resulting in drip marks.

Meg's ASD is awesome!! Sprays on thinner than bare bones resulting in much less dripping and makes coverage application more precise. It also turns the wheel wells nice and black! The smell lingers and is something to be desired, but this is so far my favorite wheel well dressing.
 
I'm surprised you can even get a sprayer into the wheel wells on your Z06... there's not much gap between the tire and the body!

Or are you using these on something other than your own car?

It's pretty hard on the z06, much easier on my Tahoe. Plus, for the cars I detail. :dblthumb2:
 
whats the material in your wheel well? a plastic lineing? or exposed painted metal
 
I'm glad to hear this...I had been wanting to order Chemical Guys Bare Bones for a long time but now I think I'll order some Megs ASD :xyxthumbs:
 
Thanks for your info. I have been using the Adams and I love the look, but it sprays lime the CG. I am going to try using a different sprayer to see if I can get it thinner. If not I will give the ASD a try.
 
i have been useing dp tire gell in my wheels wells-its seems to last awhile for me anyway-plus you can still get 3 of the old formula for 20 bucks-i have a chevy hhr that has a black plastic material in it
 
I saw in another tread about using Armor All spray foam tire dressing in wheel wells so I recently tried it. Pretty good results (The foam gets in the crevices pretty good) for cheap and very easy to use but my Tundra has a very big gap. This probably would be pretty hard to spray in a small gap. Anyhoo, worked good for me. //bluegoose//
 
I use a cheap aerosol spray ... they get dirty much to quickly.
 
Problem with those tire sprays is the don't last for beans, IME.

I like ASD as well, because it is solvent based, it last longer then most of the others I used. Aersol sprays are nice, but go quickly, and dont hold up as well as ASD. The sprayer on my bottle is crap, I need to replace it. I end up with a greasy hand every time I use it!
 
ilove adams undercarrage spray . its purple and smells awesome and works great!

You need to tell Max to get that brain of his working and come up with a product similar, but better, then Adam's Undercarriage spray for the DP line!!!! I can count only a few products that I can't buy from here, and if I could just buy everything from here it would make my life easier! LOL.

James, get a good garden sprayer at Lowes or HD. Wand gets in to small areas and can spray a fine mist. Just my $.02!
