I've heard Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner Plus D103 is being discontinued.:wow: Does anybody know if there is any truth to this?

I am a member on Meguiar's Online as well as here, and I PM'ed Mike Pennington, the Director of Training for Meguiar's. He said that this is not true, they are not discontinuing APC+. So I am curious as to how and where this rumor got started.
 
A friend works at a local supply house. Also couldn't find on Meguiar's web site.:confused::dunno:

Meguiars direct does not sell it directly. They havent sold it directly for a long time now.
 
I prefer the plain APC as it foams on the exterior, I have other things for the interior, but as far as a dilutable (sp?) gallon goes, that stuff is a BARGIN!
 
Yea, APC+ is a Limited Distribution product that is only available through certain distributors and like Grizzly said, Meguiar's does not even sell it through their own online store.

I'm pretty confident this is a top seller for Meguiar's in their Detailer Line and it's going to be around for a long time.

Go directly to Meguiar's and call their Customer Service Hotline and they should be able to verify.

There's reasons for everything, I started out as an Sales Rep/Trainer for Meguiar's and this enabled me to see the behind the scenes story about distribution via warehouses to the PBE and Hard Parts retail world and then via the online world.

Trust me, there's reasons for everything...

What can Optimum Power Clean do that APC Plus cannot?

If anything APC Plus is better and much cheaper.

Not very odd at all. There are several Meguiars D Line products not sold directly.
 
Went to order D103 plus today from AGO and guess what? It is discontinued:dunno:
 
I see thats what it says now but when I tried to order this morning it said item was discontinued. Glad to see that it's notIm the MAN
 
It's funny the posts in this thread are from 2010, because I am having trouble finding apc+ now in June, 2014. I started using it recently and never found a product like it. I absolutely love it. Once again it's back ordered at AG. I'm going to call meguires on Monday and verify.

Just an FYI, every supplier I've looked at on line that promotes the product, have it back ordered. Hummmm....

Yes the 1 gal size is discontinued you can get the 5 gal
