I will be doubling my shop space as of July 1st. I have outgrown my current space. My current shop is only 300sf. My new shop will be in the same facility, but a different building. The new shop is 600sf. I am having an air conditioned office built as well as a nice loft for storage inside my shop.

With all of the new business ventures Im about to get into I cannot stay in my current shop. I am trying to do more work at my shop and less on the road as well. I will still be mobile, as it is a real convenience to my clients as well as added value. It is always better on the detail if the detailer has access to more products and his own environment on his own time.

My new shop will also have a nice waiting area and my clients will have access to wi-fi if they need to access the internet while they wait. I will also have cold beverages (no not alcoholic beverages) available to my clients as they wait.

There will be 3 infared security cameras installed and a DVR system for added security.

So, when are you going to hire some help?? Not that I have skills anywhere near yours..or the ambition to move to Fla.:dblthumb2:

I know once we got into our shop it felt better and more comfortable...

wish i could quit my full time job and do detailing full time. goldsboro nc just doesnt have the demand for such services. or maybe i am too busy with work to pursue=(
 
Outgrown your shop? Maybe a diet is in order. Good luck Garry. If possible I will stop by and either help you move, or check the place out.

Thanks guys! I will keep you all updated as I transition into the new shop. I am having some painting done over the weekend so it should be ready for me to begin moving in by Monday.
 
Awesome... I would die to have the 300sf shop you have... :)

Ok so I had the management at my complex have maintenance paint my new shop, but the idiot only did one coat and left it.

The yellow paint that was on the walls is bleeding through.

I contacted a client of mine who owns a painting company and we worked out a barter for him to paint the shop correctly. Should be painted by Wednesday.

This is awesome since I have no time to paint.
