Just a Rant

I think his main point wasnt that you shouldnt have cut it 3:1, I think it was that if you try something they dont recommend and it sucked WHY do you complain? Does the un-named cleaner also clean wheels well or is it just for tires? Maybe D143 being OK for wheels and tires is where you can get a better value? I like D143 for general to slightly dirty wheels and tires personally.

Correct, that was my point. Sorry for not explaining better.

Try McKee's 37 tire cleaner. Great stuff. A lot better for the rubber than using an APC. I bought my first gallon when it was still Detailer's brand. On my third gallon now. One of the few things that I started buying and have never tried to find something better...no need to.

.....And if you were so happy with that unnamed tire cleaner, why were you in the market for a different 1? Smh.
That's like a happily married man cheating. Makes no sense. Lol.

This made me chuckle. To also use an analogy, that's like going to a hotdog stand and asking what they're serving.

To ask anyone on this forum why they tried something different even if they were happy with something they were using is to forget: We're tinkerers. And you don't know how green the grass is on the other side of the fence unless you climb up and take a peek. Maybe something else gets the same result with a little less effort, little less hit on the wallet, or maybe does even better on all fronts.

Just my take.

Yea I guess you're right. Lol

I don't get the fuss over cleaning the tires unless your coating them. I spray 114 on them wipe them down then spray some hyper dressing and wa la beautiful again. When I first started detailing i bought way too many products and now I'm down to about 3 and the car looks sharp

Nice point frank but I've learned that the longevity of your dressing is affected by how clean your tire is. And I'm trying to cut down on my products but im addicted.

I just bought and tried this, it's great. ( Did I need more products NO WAY ) but it sucked me in.

Just go to Walmart and pick up a 2.5 gallon jug of Castrol super clean, cut it how you want I use it all the time on tires and wheel wheel wells.

Maybe he needs to try some strange every once in a while...

Tuff Shine tire cleaner is #1, but really only necessary if you are applying TS to the tires or as a final step if they are filthy. If your using conventional tire dressings - LA Totally Awesome is better than APCs detailing companies sell.

Some strange what?

Better or different than other strong cleaners or degreasers?
