Hey all, i just ordered HD Adapt and was wondering what pad you all recommended for this product??

Plan is to use adapt, and then continue through glazes, sealants and LSP's!

Thanks

Everything!

But seriously get some Megs Microfiber pads, Tangerine foam, and green foam. Basically the top 3 that I have been using with Adapt and loving it.

do you use all those just with adapt? multiple applications?

I used Adapt with a light cut (blue) Lake Country hybrid pad with my flex yesterday. It worked really well on speed 5 w/ light pressure. Great results with ZERO dust.

HD Adapt can work with all types of pads and will yield different results. I find Adapt + a MF cutting pad is a fantastic AIO for harder paints, Adapt + Orange on softer paints, and Adapt + Green for finishing or a gentle single step.

I feel like a newb, so when you say Adapt + Orange, are you just referring to the LC hydrotech?

Its looking like the main purpose would be to remove swirls or light imperfections. What machine do you use? How hard is the paint on your vehicle?

Using the PC7424 on a '14 mustang, semi hard paint

You can surely go with MF cut discs as will mentioned above..

I would also like to recommend the Lake Country flat 5.5 in pads.
Lake Country 5 1/2 x 7/8 inch Beveled Edge Foam Pads, buffing pads, Lake Country curved edge pads, polishing pads

You should be fine with the orange and white. You should be able to get some swirl removal plus some added gloss with the orange light cut pad or just get less correction with a nice shine if you use the white polishing pad.

If you end up needing to go the yellow pad, you might as well just step up to a cut compound like Wolfgang Uber Cut Compound 3.0 and bypass the Adapt.

HD ADAPT is easily the best 1-step polish I've used. I just ordered another 32 ounce bottle of it. LC hydrotech cyan and tangerine pads are my favorite with any product. For extra heavy cut, Meg's MF cutting pads work great. Clean your pad after each section.

I mainly use Adapt with Megs MF Finishing pads on the Rupes 21 as my initial cutting step. As others have noted it should work great with any pad though.

Here is a 50/50 with Adapt (beta version) on a 2009 Black Sapphire Metallic M5 using the Rupes 21 and Meg's MFFP.

Would you be so kind to provide the link to this product/product line?
Thanks.

Bumping a thread from the dead but I have an Adapt question. I plan on using Adapt with MF cutting pads. Do you have to completely prime the entire pad with product, or is 4-6 drops enough? Same thing for foam pads?

I've not used Adpat with MF pads. On foam pads I put 5 small pea sized drops, no priming. And keep in mind a little of this goes along way. Work it until it totally diminishes/disappears. Wipe off is a breeze.
